What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

I saw Birdman a couple of nights ago and it was ****ing awesome. I highly recommend it, specially for fans of Wes-Anderson-isque quirky but artistic comedies.

Muscle Shoals

An absolutely fantastic documentary on the signature sound that is Muscle Shoals. It created another musical rabbit hole for me to jump into...Dalamon knows what I am talking about.

The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara

A brilliant film...even if you aren't a foreign policy buff. The lessons alone make this a worthy watch for it touches on some universal truths. I really enjoyed it and since Mr. McNamara and all his political baggage was before my time, I was able to watch it without party bias. The soundtrack by Phillip Glass was also great.

Her. I didn't expect it to make it way to favorites but the acting by Joaquin Phoenix was very good and the dialogues were very sincere. 9/10 from me.

I openly went into this not wanting to see it and had low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised.

A great movie. We may have a similar taste in movies.

Another one of the very few respectable science fiction movies. I'd include District 9 and Moon in that category as well.

Moon was very good. I loved it. I will watch District 9 soon. I am not really a fan of Sci-fis, especially hard ones like Star Wars, but I heard District 9 was very good from multiple people.

Scifi is my favorite genre of literature. But there isn't much I would consider scifi in visual media. Star Wars and such are works of fantasy with a veneer of space opera. I don't care for any of that either.

May be if I read some sci-fi books, I would love it. Only other sci-fi movie I remember I liked is Artificial Intelligence(except may be the twist in th end)

I personally can't stand Spielberg's cheese. But how about The Matrix? You don't like that one? I thought everyone liked The Matrix.

Other good mainstream scifis: 2001, Gravity, Eternal Sunshine, and a bunch of others. But not that many. There are some really good scifis with less mainstream appeal, like Stalker and the original Russian version of Solaris (but book is still better).

Saw Guardians of the Galaxy, liked it, not as funny as I was expecting(not to say there weren't some funny moments) but was pretty entertaining, a talking raccoon and the tree sounded pretty goofy but they actually turned out to be the best characters.

Lately, I have seen:
-
Interstellar
Mockingjay
Nightcrawler
Fury

All good, but I liked nightcrawler the best. Fury was a close second, but I found the whole climax seen to be somewhat unbelievable.
