What's the Status on Burks?

I've got a friend who's friends with greg Miller. Apparently Alec has been healthy for a while. The team doctor apparently doesn't want to play players until they are 100% in "game shape"
I for one think that's stupid and strange. Seems like if he could play 5 minutes that could help.

Do you know if your friend and Mr. Miller have meetings at the local Best Buy. Please advise.

He said Burks is fully healed but the FO is taking extra precautions because they don't want him to come out too early and get another injury because his body isn't completely ready. He also said he expects Burks will be back before the end of the season. Last night Booner said he thought it could be any day.

So why not play him restricted minutes?

Limited minutes could help that along it seems.

Depends... There is some value in making sure they are close to full strength. When you are injured you compensate for things that aren't quite right. I do think we've taken it a bit far here. If he's running and pain free and structurally it is sound... Give him a few days to get his lungs back but then put the guy out there.
 
Just give him cj's minutes. Keep playing ingles as the third wing and continue to use some two pg lineups.

Give Burks 5 minutes per game
 
The frustrating thing is that if we were 35 games into the season I'm pretty sure Burks would be playing right now.

This feels like "well the season is almost done anyway and we know we are just going to get our asses kicked even if we make the playoffs so even though he is ready to play we are just going to shut him down."

Not sure I really have a problem with that. The guy is very injury prone and plays recklessly. He probably really does need to be 100%.

I think he is 100%
I think they just are not playing him because the season is almost over
