Again - to reiterate - we were talking about movies, not real life. I'd rather have my kids watch Rambo/Lord of the Rings, than a movie with under-age kids having sex.
Disclaimer: I don't have kids.

I think it's probably a good thing for teens to be exposed to honest, accurate portrayals of human sexuality. Ultra-violence, on the other hand, is of very little value (other than as pure entertainment) to anyone.

Alright thanks for your serious and honest response.

So...what's wrong with teenage sex?

Nothing wrong with it....

Except when it's in a movie or on TV and the thought of my baby boy (or girl) catching a glimpse of it and saying to me "Daddy - what are they doing? Can I try that with Katie (or Billy) at school??"

"Daddy, why did his head explode?"

I think most people would agree that y tu mama tambien is inappropriate for infants. I don't think Rambo is appropriate for infants either.

I wouldn't allow my children to watch either of those movies. But we watched Juno as a family and it lead to a very good discussion with our kids about sex and the inherent responsibilities and consequences of engaging in the act before they are ready to handle it.

You're not adult enough to explain sex to your kids, and you blame it on the movies?

How about for a 14 year old girl then? Which would you rather they watch?

I refuse to answer questions like this. Each situation is very different. If my 14 year old daughter is an intelligent, aspiring film-maker, she and I would probably both prefer she watch y tu mama tambien.

I prefer to study individual cases.

How about an average run-of-the-mill 14 year old then?

BTW Guys - if I post the whole movie here on JazzFanz - which movie do you think I would get banned from posting?

1. Rambo

2. Y tu mama también
