What's new

What's y'alls thoughts on John Wall?

John Wall with a triple-double this evening. 28 pts, 11 boards, and 10 assists. He was also 9-29 from the field, had 6 turnovers, and his team lost, but still.

I've been watching some highlight videos of him recently and he's an exciting player. He's extremely fast.

He's starting to hit those long range shots... (Finally!!).. but I still like Burke's slow but measured pace more.

FWIW, Derrick's fourth season was the one with the ACL tear and nagging injuries.
But I think he's no player who makes others around him better. A lot of his assists happen in the open court and he has no winning resumee.
I also think Derrick is one of the better defender at PG, just coasts too much for my taste.
If you compare the advanced stats you can see that Wall is lightyears behind Derrick's MVP and 4th season.

disagree. when he was 100% healthy that bulls team won 60+ games. there is a reason why he won the mvp. dude was filthy. he was relentless at attacking the rim, and he was rare pg who constantly drew double teams. he really sucks the defense in.

I was referring to John in the line that doesn't include Derrick.

gotcha.

his stat didn't improve this year, but i think he is definitely matured as a player. this is kinda guy who would've benefited from staying in college for at least 3 years.

I feel like Wall should be starting in the All Star game over Irving. His stats are just as impressive (if not more so), his team is better (which is largely due to the fact that Wall makes his teammates better--something I don't see as much of in Irving).

My thoughts on john wall are that he helps our tank
