It's mother ****ing deep as shet bro..... EPIC draft/

I trust you. I just feel like I'm too into this to take a step back and see if these players are legit or if I'm convincing myself that they are.

That draft sucks.

I would probably have burks, kanter, favors, and hayward all in the top 8 of that draft

Dennis Lindsey did ok. Perhaps missed on trading up to take Burke over MCW. Or just staying put and taking Giannis. But I definitely like the Gobert pick. So he got two decent players out of a draft where a lot of the first rounders will be out of the league when their rookie contracts expire.

I'd probably do

1. Favors
2. Kanter
3. Noel
4. Hayward
5. Burks
6. Giannis (he was such an unknown at the time, that even his measurable, personality and athleticism couldn't justify higher).
7. Oladipo
8. MCW
9. Schroeder (that speed. Kid might bust, but knowing what we knew...)
10. Gobert
11. McCollum (yeah, in hindsight having him ahead of Trey is stupid)
12. KCP (I loved this kid. Thought he could be a good 3&D).
13. Trey (deserves to be higher, but this is where I would've felt comfortable with him considering how worried I became in the month preceding draft).
14. Olynyk (he's a 7 footer who can shoot, but he can't defend, and his vibe screams douche).

Yes, in comparison to how bad everyone else missed, he did swimmingly (always wanted to say that).

But, Gobert could've been had w/ 21, saving us the money, etc. coulda done Giannis, Gobert and Neto w/ our own picks. Neto could've started all year for us, and we probably would've been in line for the 2nd or 3rd pick for 2014 w/o ice Trey's buzzer beaters.

Jazz first pick
Wiggins
Randle
Smart
Saric (if he'd come over now)
Gordon

23rd pick
Lavine
Warren
Payne
Napier
Stokes
Early

2nd round
Markel Brown
Patric Young
Johny O'Bryant
Deandre Daniels
Dwight Powell
Nick Johnson

Hindsight. Obviously thought Trey was a better PG than he turned out to be...and he very well could be. I'll give him the benefit of being a rookie. Burke and MCW were obviously going to be off the board at #14 and the Jazz wanted one of the two. So I don't fault the trade. It was skillful maneuvering to jump back into the first and then trade for Neto in the 2nd.

First Pick
Wiggins
Parker
Exum
Embiid (if back checks out)
Vonleh
Randle
Smart

2nd Pick
Lavine (but he'll be gone)
Payne (probably gone)
Payton (probably gone)
McDaniels

2nd Round (Draft and Stash)
Bogdanovic
Tavares
Micic

I see you added Lavine, but dropped Gordon. What scared you with A. Gordon? He measured and tested better than expected. Interesting.

Probably should have listed Smart and Gordon as a toss-up. Since the Jazz can only drop to #7, I chose to pick one of them. Tomorrow it might be Gordon as 7A and Smart as 7B.
Randle was the player that rose a bit for me. And I'd be more comfortable with Exum than I was before.

Jazz 1st pick
Wiggins
Parker
Smart
Randle
Vonleh
Exum
Embiid
Gordon

23rd (depending on trade up or down etc ....)
KJ MCdaniels

Giannis and Hayward on the floor would be fun to watch.
