What's your explanation for early OKC success?

Why does Kanter look great in OKC

How much do you know about Pleiss? I'm guessing not much, and yet you want to make all these definitive statements about how bad this trade was. Truthfully, I think most of the complainers are just pissed that Utah didn't make a move to win-now. I'm sure you would have been happier if we had traded him for dragic,.

I haven't watched his games but I know that OKC owned his rights and never brought him over. I know he's over 25 year of age 7 foot 2 inches and from Germany and is apparently eager to come over because he is not having a very good year with his current team and not getting a lot of time. I know he is on the same team as Tomic and Tomic is widely considered the better player. I know that Kanter is much better than him.

And, I don't know why I feel the need to respond but I never wanted Dragic and your assumption seems to be those fans that liked Kanter are stupid and would want to trade Kanter for Dragic. Dragic gave Phoenix a list of three teams and three teams only he wanted to be traded to where he may re-sign. Needless to say Utah was not one of them. I wouldn't trade any of our team for a couple of games.

Kanter will have bad games and you are free to post what you like. As a jazz fan since they moved to Utah I am resigned to move on an cheer for the team. I just can't stand it when janfanz posters bash the guy for no reason or claim that this was a "win-win" trade for the Jazz. It was anything but a win-win for the jazz. The Jazz got hosed in this trade. The assets we received for Kanter suck.

I love the Jazz and I am ready to watch Gobert dominate. If the Kanter haters will stop with the irrational hate, I believe the Kanter threads will disappear.

Irrational hate? He asked to be traded. Let's repeat this since it seems to be needed for some reason. He asked to be traded. I have no clue why that concept is so hard to understand. He asked to be traded. That tends to make fans mad, especially when he was starting and getting 27 minutes a game. He asks to be traded.

Let's repeat this again, just so this fact doesn't get lost. He asked to be traded. By doing so he lowered his trade value and stated he didn't want to be here. Why some of you are baffled that would create hate is far more baffling than the fact there is hate for a guy who, say it with me, asked to be traded.

That's where the Kanter hate started with me. I wasn't a fan on him being a giant black hole, but I never hated him before he asked to be traded.

Oh, and he asked to be traded.

Malone asked to be traded several times. If the Jazz dump every player that asks to be traded we better start winning soon. And, just because a player asks to be traded doesn't mean you trade him for nothing. Get something close to equal value or you keep the player.

Malone was an all time great. Kanter is not. But you're discussing whether the hatred is rational or not. I believe when a bit asks to be traded it is, especially one who was starting and getting decent minutes

The Jazz act like they are respected nationwide. They didn't like us even in the Stockton Malone era.we couldn't get anyone except hornacek to try and win a championship. Utah better wake up and realize no one wants to play here. They have to be like hotel California when it comes to talent.you can checkout but you can never leave. enough of this he doesn't fit crap.

We never had 2 better players at the same position as Malone. We did with Kanter. You keep stating we did not get equal value. Maybe or maybe not, But when a guy asks to be traded it is difficult to get equal value when they are not locked up for years. They DID NOT trade him for nothing. You seem to be misunderstanding this but if you don't trade Kanter now you really WILL lose him for nothing. After this trade deadline his value to the Jazz becomes **** in any trade. Either he signs the tender and becomes an unrestricted Free agent in a year or he signs a huge deal and becomes untradeable and a negative asset, or lost for nothing.

Kanter was starter in Utah and got 27 minutes a game. We should realise that it was not the starting job, what kept him out of town. He never felt trust by FO or headcoach playing. He is an emotional player, he just needs that to play his best ball.

If it was just players to play some ball, you would not need something like coaches or FO.

How many minutes did he need to feel trusted? 45 a game?

He was taking the most shots on the team per minute played.

That´s not about stats or analytics... That´s something that was going 4 years long. He never closed a game, he never played through the offense. He was treated like the only player on the team, who always had something to proof. That was never helping his game.
He is averaging many shots, because he is a terrific offensive rebounder and he is positioning very well. Enes Kanter right now is easily a 20-11 guy... You can call it empty stats, but thats what it is.
The last time Kanter fought like that for the Jazz was, when we watched him playing behind AL Jefferson.

Iam calling him a traitor, too. But their is a huge reason why it went that far. It´s not just on Enes. The last two weeks, dude got more national attention then the last 3.5 years he played for us.

We got ...... by this trade, but it´s maybe the first time in 5-6 years that this kid has some luck in his life.

Kanter is a fantastic player when focused and playing hard and there's a reason he wasn't anything close to fantastic for the last two seasons here.
