1st Preseason Game?

I looked up training camp and media day, but came up short. Anyone have dates? An official count down should be about to begin yo!
 
I'll have to see if I can make it down to the library to check the microfiche with those records.

Sucks there isn't a way to find it out otherwise.
 
1st preseason game is October 4th.

Training camp starts before that, but not much before. Maybe October 1st or the last week of September, I believe. All the Jazz players minus Eurocup and possibly Hayward/Favors are in SLC doing open gym right now though.

My googler must be bigger than your googler - or I just know how to use it better.

Since the Jazz are not involved in any international exhibitions, it looks like players can report on Sept. 28th, with training camp officially opening on the 29th.

Sept. 25 -- First allowable date for players participating in preseason NBA Global Games to report to their teams (no earlier than 11 a.m. local time)
Sept. 26 -- Training Camps open for all teams participating in preseason NBA Global Games
Sept. 28 -- First allowable date for all other players to report to their teams (no earlier than 11 a.m. local time)

So I'm assuming media day on the 28th and camp starts on the 29th.
 
Do the 2 Jazz games in Hawaii count as "Global games"? If so Media day is the 25th and preseason the 26th, I'd think...

IINM, Hawaii was granted statehood in 1959.

Just giving you a hard time, Stoked. It's a valid question, but the link I provided lists the global games as those in China, Canada, Spain and Brazil. So I'm pretty sure those Hawaii games are not part of the Global series. Just a chance for both teams to pare their rosters down in the shark-infested Hawaii surf.

8 Days until players can officially report. 10 days until training camp. Preseason in just under 2 weeks. So, it truly is... THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!

I took October 29th and 30th off for the start of the jazz regular season
