When Mo and Hayward come back how are we going to keep Burks in the rotation?
Corbin is going to have to make the right call here. The minutes need to come from one of two places as I see it.
Option A) Marvin is benched, and out of the rotation (or traded).
Option B) He is the back up PG. Earl and Tinsley are out.
Option C) Burks is back to the end of the bench. Only coming out on rainy days.
Option D) You have another plan for Burks. Please explain.

Even though I like Marvin's game, I don't think Jazz will have the patience for him. Who will start instead of him? I think Hayward and Favors switching. Favors will be 4 and Sap will be moved to 3. This wide frontcourt should allow the Jazz for a 3 bigmen lineup.

This is a no brainer, option b. I've been calling for Burks to be the backup pg all season, and now he had proven he can actually play the position.

Tinsley and Watson are not better players than Marvin Williams, so he shouldn't be benched for them. Think about that, if Marvin Williams was on any other team, and the salaries were even, could we trade Tinsley for him? Of course not, because Marvin Williams is a much better player than Tinsley.

We need to be playing our best players. Tinsley and Watson should never get off the bench when we're healthy. And we should be running plays for Marvin Williams too. Maybe we wouldn't lose almost every first quarter if we attacked from every position.

Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if Corbin screwed it up.

I'd like to see him get his primary minutes at PG. It's really a matchup thing; with our depth we should be playing the guy(s) with the hottest hands. If some is off one nite, sit him down and try something else. Not sure Corbin will ever do that, but the real strength of the Jazz is tha quality depth we have; let's USE it!!

Good post!

I went with option b, but i believe corbin will put him back on the bench or give him 10 minutes or less per game.

If it was me it would be a combination of "a" and "b". But for Corbin it will be "c".

I believe Tinsley and Watson or terrible players who should not play. I also think that Burks and Hayward are better right now than Marvin and should be playing more than him.

It would ideally be a combination of a.) and b.)

Also.....how about we not play Foye 30+ a game? Hmm?

This scenario scares me............ I actually was happy when Gordon got hurt cuz i knew it would finally force Ty's hand...... something is wrong here!!!

While I would like to see a combination of A and B happen I doubt it does. How ever I well be happy to see this again when Hayward is back

***I miss Prodigy. Many thanks for the Vid though

Earl should be OUT, and Foye + Tinsley's minutes should be reduced.

But... I think we'll see plenty of DNPs

I worry more about what will happen next year when some of these players are not on the Jazz. We will still have Burks (natural sg) and Hayward (better at the 2 than the 3). I don't see any way they both starters on the same team... especially if Ty is setting the starting lineup.

A better poll would be... in the future should the Jazz: a) start Burks at pg, b) start Hayward at sf, c) trade one of the two, or d) keep one of the two with the second unit permanently?
