Where the Hell is my Dante Exum hype?!!!

I think Exum will play better(shoot better) in Vegas away from the fans and the hype. If not then I guess we'll just have to endure the silly threads that will second guess the pick.

About Exum's shooting woes, it was mentioned it could be nerves with all the fans... but it may have more to do with having 2 practices every day so his legs are tired and him being a rookie. He said he hasn't played 5 on 5 in a long time, he could need some conditioning to get his legs back. Tired legs with a suspect shot is a recipe for what went down.

Or maybe he just isn't a good shooter.

Flame away!

I think they had 4 practices before the open scrimmage. Obviously, that's the same for everyone, but he's young and in his mind he's playing out of position. He has a lot of work to do and even though he stunk up ESA, I think he could be special. Not comparing the two...If Kobe didn't have the drive he does, he would be a rotation player. I hope Exum has some determination like that.

Nah, Exum is more like MJ. Both were cut from teams and were super motivated to prove those coaches wrong.

I'm not even that big of a believer in Exam overall ceiling, but people draw way too ma y conclusions from far too little data. The kids is only what 18 or 19 years old at one of his 1st few pro practices open to the public at that. This year will have little impact on the type of player Exam will be in the future.
