What's new

Which former Jazz player would you bring back?

Rubio + Burks for George Hill + asset (not sure they have any they’d part with that we’d be interested in) + filler.

Rubio and Burks for Hill and Skal. I call Skal a fair trade to take Hill's 60mil commitment off Sac's books for two guys on shorter/cheaper deals. Especially considering Sac seems happy playing Fox and FMIII at the 1.

We'll even take Jack Cooley for old time's sake.

Hill's contract is only guaranteed $1 million in 19/20 so Kings would actually just be taking on a lot more salary for next year.

Burks and thabo are better then him as well. What's the point of an inferior player taking mins from other players. He's useless.

Are we talking about the same Burks? Korver is still a very productive player, in part bc of LBJ who gets open looks for everyone. Maybe if we can insert Korver's brain into Burks body we could have a phenomenal player.

BTW, my vote is for Booker. He won us a few games just by energizing his teammates and making a few hustles plays

Good point - I forgot about Hill's last year. But even still we're talking about 43mil guaranteed between Hill and Skal vs. about 52mil between Burks and Rubio. Maybe 3 way with a team that needs a PG?

His shooting ability. That's the point.

I love Thabo, even mentioned in the game chat that he is very underrated, but the post was which former player would you like to bring back. So with that in mind, a dead-eye shooter with high energy seems to be a good idea. We need shooters for sure. But to your point, like I said, Thabo has been a God-send to this team!

How about a scrimmage game, current Jazzmen vs former (not injured) jazzmen. Who wins?

Hill, Burke at pg
Korver, Mathews at sg
DMC, Marvin
Booker, Lyles
Enes, Kosta Koufos, Bolomboy

Kanter actually is having his best season in NY. Even passing ball well, had few games with 5 ast or so.
