I hate Marvin Williams, but I don't blame the front office for trying him out. In hindsight I would have kept Harris, and had no part of Marvin the Meh.

Some of us knew Sap, and Big Al core wouldn't lead us anywhere. It was pointless to go forward we said.
Now we don't exactly know what was offered, but you have to think the FO probably had something decent on the table.

If they did, and didn't go another route then that was a mistake. We'll never really know what happened though
 
Even Burks is more of a PG than Mo.

MaWill could excel next season with a better system and a good coach.

Al and Sap are just sixth man players for good teams or average to slightly below average starters.

You can go nowhere with Al and Sap as your primary options.

Mo is just a horrible chucker. Turnouver prone and plays way out of control.

Foye is one dimensional. He just can shoot the three. If he can't hit, he is a big liability on the floor.

Corbin? Ummmmmm... Got nothing else to say. One of the worst coaches I have ever seen.

wow... can't they upgrade some good future picks in return for taking on some contracts?
 
Really, the best thing would have been to trade Millsap and Jefferson for whatever you could get, even if it were for expiring and draft picks. We would've plummeted in the standings and have a better pick in the draft. That would've been the best thing to do.

And what teams were offering expiring and draft picks? The only teams that would offer that are teams that knew they wanted one of these guys long term and had the cap space to do it. If not, they would be nuts to throw in picks. I am guessing this was not an option.

Because expiring contracts have value and to give them away for no value (or for long-term contracts of players who are overpaid) would have been worse than shopping on the free agent market. Especially since a financially strapped team WILL move a quality player for less than value if they are faced with a big luxury tax bill. Jazz will snap up quality in 2013/14.

Agree. It's like people think that Jefferson & Millsap are worthless now because he wasn't traded. I don't think so. You'd have to think there will be several teams trying to dump good guys who have a couple years left on their deals.
 
This was going to be a down season for the Jazz regardless. If I regret something, it's that we didn't move Millsap while he still had value. He was disinterested and mediocre all year, and he kept Kanter and Favors on the bench. After the pre-season that Kanter had, we should have moved Millsap immediately and given his minutes to Kanter, Carroll, Evans and Marvin.

If Kanter had been our starting PF, our defense and rebounding would be better, and his offensive production would probably have been close to Sap's.

The only value left is a sign-and-trade deal. KOC was able to sign-and-trade Boozer after he expired, so maybe there is hope.
 
I would vote not moving anyone...unless the management pulls a rabbit out of their hat this summer.

I have always thought Sap was a 6th or 7th man and not a starter so I would have been happy to see him go but I heard nothing before or after the deadline that made any sense. So who should have we traded him for?
 
Sap really seemed like he didn't want to be here after the AS game.
 
Giving Corbin an extension before proving anything. I wonder if the miller's loyalty to Corbin is more based on what the financial ramifications would be if he were terminated than actual confidence in his coaching abilities?

Let me put it this way... If Corbin's contract were expiring think the jazz would be busy trying to renew it? Doubt it...
