Join the crowd. Someone seems to think they're smarter than everyone else. Didn't this board used to have an "ignore" feature?

Based on probability, it is quite likely I am smarter than you. Does that hurt you feelers? :'(

Back to the matter at hand. Really? The Grizz? I guess they're the best of the bunch, but I just can't find myself that interested. I know everyone hates GS, and I'm not a fan by any stretch, but they're the only true underdog, IMO, so it's hard not to root for them. I recognize that we as Jazz fans must hate Mark Jackson and the franchise for their tank job last year, but I'm having a hard time rooting against them. As a U grad, I can't help but root for Bogut, the gimp that he is.

So predictable. I neg rep you for calling somebody stupid and you neg rep me with this comment (which will soon be part of my signature)?

"this hits 2.5 times harder you knob."

Really?

I remember when this board had active moderators and intelligent, mature posters. Clearly they're the exception now.

Sig it bish

Rooting for Griz and can't help myself but for GSW as well. I just want them to succeed to make sure KOC and Ty look stupid and Lindsey could probably have more inclination to go totally young.

I think during the broadcast the announcers said the Warriors played the most rookies in the 2nd round since the 1990 Trailblazers, or something along those lines, so yeah, it's an outlier and I don't think KOC/Ty/Lindsey would feel that stupid.

Personally I think it's a disgrace you having the word "JAZZFAN" in your name, when you're cheering for the Tankers who ****** us hard last year.

Have you watch Lebron play lately? He is definitely worthy of the nickname "The King".

No doubt.

Yeah... Except lebron is probably the GOAT. Seriously. Wade is a footnote to what he is doing right now

On the court yes. As I said Lebron on the court is amazing, and far superior to Wade. despite that I don't find anything appealing or intriguing about his story. There is more intrigue with every other team, and new story lines. The only way that happens with lebron is with him losing.

Why don't you highlight the part that says "I'm not a fan by any stretch"? Would you rather root for the Spurs? You may not remember that the Spurs did the most epic tank job in the history of the NBA and ended up with Tim Duncan. I have never rooted for the Spurs, but that tank job ensured that I would always root against them. I'll repeat, I'm not a GS fan, but it's hard not to root for a massive underdog in one series against one of the favorites for the title and the biggest tankers in league history. Take it in context.

Every team that has played in a finals game this century has tanked...except for LA, maybe. It is part of the game. If the Jazz are smart, they will tank this next year and try to get Wiggins or Parker. It is the ONLY chance they have at competing for a title.

**** this Heat team forever. Forget everything besides that it changed player culture and is the single biggest threat to the relevance of small markets in the NBA. What happened with the Heat cannot continue to happen but it has about as much as it could already. There is nothing they can do to rectify that impact except lose.

I understand what you're saying, but I tend to think that it's not as bad as you indicate. I see three teams this year that can challenge and possibly beat the Heat: OKC (build through draft), San Antonio (built through draft and signing FAs who do well in a system), Memphis (build through draft and good trades/FA signings). Also, Miami is good not only because of Big 3 (Bosh is vastly overrated--you could plug in any number of other people here and Miami wouldn't miss a beat) but because they have also signed good FAs, plus people want to play with LeBron, as he is a good teammate and excellent distributor.

I tend to think what happened in Miami will be an outlier when all is said and done and not the future of the NBA. I could be wrong--time will tell.

LA and Detroit. But LA just bends the other teams over, and makes them tank for them. And Detroit just got lucky and got Sheed in one of his lucid moments. Then they weren't smart enough to tank after the title contention seasons, and look where they are now.

This. The big three model usually doesn't work, and it is not really a big three in Miami with Chris Ru Paul Bosh. They probably just have him there because he is their friend.

Grizz I like, and even though I detest the Warriors for the crap they pulled last season, I have to admit, I am enjoying them giving the Spurs everything they can handle and them some. It's nice to see they don't have the Al Jefferdad mentality that they can't beat the Spurs. And it's nice to see they aren't scared to play the youth over old worn out Vets.

You're right. It's a risk you take when you get a protected pick as part of a trade. What GS did wasn't unique.
