OK the preseason is over and the Jazz have to cut. I think new guy, Bolomboy, Griffin and Wolters (they are on two ways) and O'Neale get pink slipped. Got to keep Raul around.
 
Last spot will come down to O'Neal and Bolomboy. Neto stays.
 
They can keep either Boly or O'Neale, as well. It's going to be a tough decision. O'Neale showed some solid D last night. Not sure though he is another Wes Matthews.
 
Big improbable what if hit me last week... what if they released jerebko. He hasn't been good but is abbey and paid way more than any of these guys... based just on preseason merit it isn't crazy but Jonas has proved to be an NBA player and Royce and Joel have not.

Just a thought... don't flame me bros.
 
Oh man!! I'd rather keep Royce and Bolomboy over Neto. I love Royce as a glue guy potential. And I just have this feeling about Bolomboy as being a great fit next to Gobert, he brings the physicality of Gavors while being super athletic and being able to space the floor as well. I know he hasn't looked great at times but he hasn't played the game as long, he just has a steeper learning curve, there is just so much potential that I see IMO

Actually that possibility has crossed my mind. But as you said, Jerebko HAS played well in previous seasons. So maybe just a shooting slump.
I'm still maintaining my conspiracy theory that O'Neale's guarantee for 3 years was just a way to provide him extra "salary" for him playing for the Stars.
Or not. Perhaps when DL signed Udoh that made Bolomboy expendable.

His play in the preseason and the conversation I had with a Jazz dude at SL are my only reservations. They did not seem like they cared that he wasn't playing well and were a little dismissive when I even suggested he may be on the chopping block. This was before Royce was signed, but they were super high on him.

I think he's the most likely but his play in preseason has been great. Weird they didn't play him last night (or I didn't notice).

Not really... Royce is the type of guy that can be a hot commodity. We've tried with Chris Johnson, Lil Sap, many teams are starving for wings and would love to know where you can find big wings who can defend, handle, and shoot a little.
 
I remember watching youtubes of Neto back the summer before we got him... Dude looked to be a demigod ball handler... I'm glad he's still a jazzman.
 
FWIW, I have a family member who is very close with Weber State HC Randy Rahe. I’ve had recent, face-to-face conversations with Coach Rahe about Bolomboy and his standing within the Jazz organization.

I won’t sit here and proclaim that Bolomboy is 100% safe but after hearing what was said in those conversations, I would be absolutely stunned if Bolomboy is cut.
 
If Bolomboy gets cut, someone's going to pick him up....hopefully not Boston who needs another big badly.

And I think the Jazz are really thinking about trading Favors this year.
