32. 6'4''...230-ish.
Lived in and around Toronto (North York, Mississauga) until I was 14. Dad took a job in the San Joaquin Valley in '95, and I lived and went to high school there. Became Mormon while in California, served a mission in North Carolina, Indonesia, Singapore (briefly), Brisbane (Australia), and back to Indonesia. Attended BYU and taught at the MTC, battled depression and anxiety, decided to start fresh, and left the Church and Utah 7 years ago (officially I was dismissed from BYU for academic reasons, although, per some administrator, I could have stayed). Moved to NW Washington State (lived across town from my parents, who had moved there not long before), worked in a plastic extrusion factory and union sheet metal shop for two years. Decided I needed a change, packed up and moved to the Eastern Townships of Quebec (my parents own a vacant house there on 50 acres in the middle of nowhere). Mom convinced me to apply for school before I left (there's a little rural english university about an hour's drive from the house). Worked for a second cousin in Plattsburgh, NY for a couple weeks restoring Airstream trailers before being accepted to school. Cruised through. Moved to Toronto 2 years ago, received an MA (Econ) a year ago from York University, and somehow lucked my way into the University of Toronto to pursue a PhD in Economics (I'm still not officially through Year 1...this could all end badly in a bit more than a month).
I'm boring, sad and lonely for the most part. I like listening to the wind, watching movies, Jazz basketball, sharing good food and conversation with close friends and family (which happens about 3x per year). I have little tolerance for other social interaction.
I also like hugs.
