Who could we trade for?

Eric Gordon is injured. Even when he was healthy, they had no backup wings worth a damn. Their next best wing is Austin Rivers....
What they really need to do is play more big ball by playing Anderson, Davis and Asik together.

They do that a lot as it is. It doesn't work to great though. Anderson can't get as open from 3 with a SF guarding him. If they had another wing they would be a playoff team.

Also, Asik has had injury issues this season too. They just have horrible depth in general.

My dream scenario:

Trade for Dwill
Sign Millsap
Draft Stanley Johnson

Ensuing Starting Lineup Next Year:

Dwill
Exum
Hayward
Millsap
Favors

How many years is d will under contract for? I think between hayward and exum on the wing, we could be decent defensively. Favors and millsap could be awesome together.

DWill at $20 mil is an albatross, let alone the emotional baggage. The hit to cap flexibility is a deal-breaker. He's not the guy to reach for.

- Reggie Jackson? 19.5 points on 17.2 attempts Reggie? The guy who is shooting .266 from downtown? Who is .288 career 3 point shooter? No thank you.

- I'm not watching any Nuggets games but isn't Faried a bad defender? Maybe not Kanter-bad but he is not known as a good defender is he? Offensively he added a hook shot to his arsenal but other than that? Nothing really. He is currently shooting .350 from mid-range on just 20 attempts. He is athletic, a high energy guy with a lots of hustle. Is he worth a 4 year / $50 million contract?

Kanter and Ingles

For

Papanikolaou and Montiejunas + NOP first round Draft pick(protected 1-3 and 20-30)

^not the greatest but I would prefer it to matching a ricockulous Kanter contract

Rockets do it to upgrade Montiejunas. Kanter is also a better scorer than anyone they currently have coming off the bench.

We do it for a second lotto pick and to get something out of Kanter by the deadline.

Who else could score the ball on the Thunder? He was the ONLY playmaker. The only other guy who could even score the ball was Ibaka, and he has no shot creation ability.

No one is giving up that much for a half year rental for Kanter. If Kanter actually contributes and does well, he becomes unaffordable for the Rockets.

Of the gettable guys, I like Reggie Jackson, Faried, and Schroeder.

Both Reggie and Shroeder could play alongside Exum -- now, and in the future.

How about durant and westbrook. (He did mention his career three point percentage...... seems like he would get open looks with those two drawing alot of attention)

His 3pt% has been trending up every year. He was 34% (on 3 attempts, nice sample size) last year. Respectable for a PG of his skill set. He got worse this year because no one else on the team can create or score. *See why Hayward suck at shooting 3's last year*

Reggie Jackson shot 40% from deep in the playoffs last year on 2.8 attempts per game. His shooting is trending up. 19 games.

Yes, Jackson has experience playing alongside Westbrook, so he knows how to play alongside a ballhandler who is expected to posses the ball more.

He can guard, too.

I'd bet the Thunder have a price. And, I'd bet all the GMs in the league know what it is.
