Our young core seems to have gelled and turned the corner. They started winning a lot of games. Lets face it: if we want a high draft pick it is not enough to trade Marvin or RJ -the only sure way to get a few extra losses is for one of our 5 core guys to have a serious, season-ending injury. So, who do you want to get injured?

I want a high pick but absolutely not at the expense of ANY of our players suffering a serious season ending injury.
 
If you read it close, OP said "mysterious" injury.

I don't think he's rooting for people's legs to fall off or anything.

I think losing Trey helps the tank the most. His finger injury was so perfect....nothing that needed to be concerned about long term.

Well, I listened to many folks here saying that this draft is the only chance for the Jazz to assemble a contender. Good teams do not get high picks. Bad teams do, but beeing bad they do not have enough quality players to surround the superstar that they got and he eventually leaves to pursue his championship dreams with a better franchise (LeBron, Howard, Anthony, Bosh). The only exception is Duncan who got on a quality team because of Robinson's injury.

So, if the high pick is the ultimate goal the Jazz need to find their inner Robinson.

I want the damn wheels to fall off their season and get two top picks. Ran the lottery simulator and had the Magic get the 2nd and 3rd picks. They got Embiid and Wiggins (Parker went 1st to the Celtics.) That would be a great rebuild to land two potential stars to fill out the roster.
 
I just have a feeling that many posters who are dead set on getting the top-5 pick at any cost are now secretly hoping for an injury bug to bite the Jazz hard. So I want them to come out into the open and reveal the identities of their voodoo dolls.
 
I don't. I've come to terms with the fact that they're too talented to tank as bad as most would want them to. I just want to see them play together and grow as a young team. That's why I'm in favor of trading away any of the expiring vets they can and force them all to learn how to play together.

After that, DL just needs to keep doing what he did last year and take the best players he can get his hands on. Burke and Gobert both look like steals relative to their draft position. Wherever the Jazz pick, I want those guys. Build a strong team with a good, young nucleus and then buy or draft a bench to support them.
 
I chose hayward because maybe it would be two birds with one stone situation......... we lose more and get a better pick and possibly get hayward for cheaper than if he stays healthy and continues killing it like he has been
 
I want the ones who wish injury upon opponent's player and as if it isn't enough, wishing injury upon their own players get injured. In the ***.
