Who is going to slide the most on draft day?

Biggest slide on draft day?

I don't think any of these guys are really going to slide. A couple other players may get in the top ten---like Adams, Carter-Williams, Zeller or Caldwell-Pope, but all these guys should be gone by #12 or #13. I don't think anyone's going to slide more than a few spots.

Poll would have been better placed towards the start of the draft so we know what position is the general consensus of their stock. Can't really answer the question until then.

Yeah.. but not as fun. Thread title/poll should have been which player did DX predict the most incorrectly as of this date . ...

100%. It's so stupid that 'money sport' athletes are not permitted to have a part-time job because of concern for improper benefits but non-money sports can. That means a swimmer can take his girl on a date .. have a nice meal. Meanwhile, guys that are making their universities MILLIONS of dollars can't buy a pizza if their parents are strapped .. and most are. Patrick Patterson, while at UK, had to leave his old truck in the parking lot because he couldn't afford new brakes, so he had to ride a bicycle everywhere.. which means he could no longer pick up his girl to go to a movie. I know, some will say boo hoo.. but it is really is too bad. That's one of the reasons UK can recruit so well. They have a MASSIVE budget. The Wildcat Lodge (a separate, decked out, building that houses the bb team, has pool tables, etc.. but also a FULL-TIME, 24hr, chef that makes the team anything they want to eat.)

Other schools just don't have that kind of budget. I think kids should be permitted to receive about $4-5,000 per YEAR for incidental necessities and receive it from the university profiting from their efforts. Not a lot of money, obviously, but a life changer for many that struggle to buy even toiletries...

Good post. Yeah I agreed re $4-5,000 per year thing. These boys need to live on something and if it comes straight from the school it should be legit.

Also liked that bit about the full-time chef... makes me hungry... can they make like "anything" ? Like how about a KoBE beef cheeseburger? Or how about if I wanna have Salmon sashimi everyday? Grilled trout on a bed of baby potatoes and spinach? Wow.. that would be heaven...

Yeah.. anything. They just have to make a request 24 hours in advance if the foods aren't on the 'stocked' list. The caveat is they are very limited to junk/bad foods. But as far as the good for you foods... there's no concern for cost. I can tell you, though, these kids don't get real creative more than once or twice a year.

youth is truly wasted on the young...

Oh, duh.. now I see.

That quote is Calipari's from his Memphis days. He said something along the lines of winners and champions are earned not born.. it happens in the gym.. and you will either "ache" from fatigue.. or later feel the "pain" of regret. The players take this pledge to ache now rather than pain later.. something like that.
