Who is the leadership problem?

So, when you lose to one of the worst offensive teams in the last couple decades and get 76 points scored on you in a half by that team there's a deeper problem than simply "our guys can't defend". The team has 3(maybe 4) potential leaders. Quin, Donovan, Rudy, *Mike. I think it's much more on the first 3 to hold themselves and their teammates accountable. Mike has his value there, he's more a quiet toned guy though, and it's Rudy and Donovan's team with Quin being the coach. There is a lack of leadership within this group. The embarrassing things we saw last night just aren't a thing unless you have a leadership issue and its not a one off. It's far too often that the team just seems like it's sleep walking.

Use Karl Malone or John Stockton as examples
Neither ever took a play off Ever
They said they were not cheerleaders either
But they were leaders
Who on current Jazz are like that?

It's Quin at the end of the day.

You can let Mitchell have his way. You can let him shoot a lot, pass a little, play hero ball, give lax effort on D and all that. He's a star. He makes up for it on the offensive end for the most part.

You can't let Jordan Clarkson have his way all the time. That's when it goes from super-star lenience, which everyone gets for the most part, to letting your role players dog it on defense because they see Clarkson dogging it on D and getting all the glory of the 6th man reward and all the shots he wants.

How do we expect a guy like Jared Butler to succeed when he probably gets ton of mixed messages about defense when he hears one thing, but then sees a role player like Clarkson play like absolute **** on D and suffer no consequences.

I put no blame on Mike. He's the last guy to join and he doesnt want to step on toes. It's not his personality and not where he thrives as a leader.

I will never understand why Quin is hitching his wagon to the JC horse .... JC is worthless.

I got it when we traded him. THen he was incredible to start the 1st half of the following season. Since then reality has set in and Quin/FO is in denial for some reason.
