Who is Worth Keeping on the End of Bench?

You're right that he doesn't have the slowest shot ever. But saying Thomas "has his flaws" undercounts the reality that he is almost entirely comprised of flaws in the context of an NBA player.

He's a 3pt sniper, that's why he's here and that's why he's staying.

Never said you had to like him, but the reality is that he's here and he's staying.
Is this the same reality where a guy who shot 25% on threes is a "sniper"?

I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I'm the one talking about reality here.

lmao you really are a piece of work man.

THomas has flaws, anything to do with his shooting is not one of them.
Its a little flat and it isn't slow but its not quick. When you aren't fast and can't drive you better be able to get that thing off... outside of JJ Reddick I can't think of many guys that have survived at that size... and JJ is bigger than he is... and gets his shot off quicker.

Maybe he can speed it up but he needs to get up threes at a high volume to make up for all the things he can't do. Add to this that we already have 2 smallish guards and a medium guard... and he doesn't really have a natural backcourt mate on the roster. It was a truly dumb move all the way around and I'm really excited to burn another roster spot on him next year.

He has a great back story though and was teammates with Georges.

Like, we got beat by a bunch of minimum contracts and second rdrs. Will it be that hard to counter? Draft a 3 and D. The one tony jones likes from oregon. Then sign Torrey Craig. And give the yale kid like a billion minutes this off season and season. Find a back up pg too. Small ball center also nice. Isnt that what morgan was supposed to do?

id cut everyone but oni and forrest

I like Forrest, Thomas, Brantley.

these guys actually have talent and could serve a purpose on this team. Thomas is an elite shooter and can create his own shot. He just needs experience and regular minutes. He can play either guard spot. He fits this team to a tee.

Brantley, had he been given minutes all year long could’ve stepped in and played center against the Clippers small ball. He has a big body and moves like a wing and plays aggressive defense. We could’ve used him in that series.

Forrest could be our Patrick Beverley, though he’s a long shot as he can’t shoot.

I didn’t mention Doka as he doesn’t fit what we need as a backup center, but as a first round pick he’ll be around, too bad he wasn’t around in the 90’s. I like his skill set, but we need someone that can cover up Gobert’s deficiencies.

Oni needs Xanax or a sports therapist or both. He shoots like he has a gun to his head those nerves are out of his control
