Who should Jazz lose in order to gain?????

Hey everyone. Now that the lockout is basically over who do you think the Jazz should lose in order to gain? Any ideas on potential trade rumors or who would be a good fit here? My Opinion would be lose AK or offer him a next to nothing contract and maybe get someone in here who would be a good outside shot such as Chalmers from Miami or possibly Crawford from Atlanta. Any ideas?

The 34% from 3 crawford?

In this order:

Bell
Miles
AK
Memo
Sap

The first 2 need to go. For whatever. Hell, for a cheese sandwich, 11 donuts, or a ****ing *****. They just have to go. They will just suck time from much more promising players (Hayward/Burks). The next one (AK) should be kept if he could be re-signed on the cheap. The way he has been playing in Russia it is highly unlikely he is going to go cheap. It is also unlikely he ever leaves Russia again. Look for him to finish out a 3-5 year stint there, then transition immediately into coaching the national team. The last 2 (Memo/Sap) should be used as an expiring and as a solid trade chip to upgrade at the PG spot, or bring in a solid vet for leadership, a 6th man type who can plug other holes (3 pt shooting maybe? Wing defender?).

Not saying that he would be the best 3 point shooter but maybe a mid range "Make something Happen" from the outside guy sure, Why not Crawford. Only beef I have with him is that Crawfords "D" is awful! I almost would pass him up for that reason alone.

Got to disagree... Only slightly however... Here is my list...

Bell
AK
Memo
Price

Say what you want about Miles, but him coming off of the bench is much better then AK or Bell.. IMO... Not to mention, he's still young and believe it or not, can get better... People seem to forget that we drafted him out of High School... I don't think he's hit his ceiling yet and he's seemed to improve from year to year...

If we are to trade Milsap, it better be for something good, because I think he's more than a solid player... And I think he's developing a perimeter jumper and can possibly play some SF... Granted, with all of the big men we have, it kind of makes him the odd man out, but I think you either want to get something worthwhile for the guy now, or at least wait to see if the other big men you have are going to pan out...

Memo, is not worth the risk to keep due to the injury, I love the guy, but Achilles heels scare me... AK, he's run his course with me and spends too much time trying to be Michael Jordan (and fails miserably at it once more). If he would just play HIS game, I'd say keep him, but he's spending too much time trying to be something he is not... And Bell, well, his game just flat out sucks, unless he's playing man to man defense, and that's really not worth keeping unless he's going to come off the bench... Which I don't think he will.. After all, he passed up LA to start with us...

I like Price, I really do... He's a hustler, he provides energy, but he's hit his ceiling and it's time to see if we can try to cultivate some younger talent at the position... Granted, we don't really need a lot of help at PG, especially if we hold onto Harris and/or Watson..

This has been beat to death, but CJ has actually gotten worse year over year for the past 3 years or so. His PER has gone up somewhat simply due to more PT, but with that increase in playing time he has decreased in almost every area except total points scored. Look up the stats. As I said, it has been beaten like a dead horse here so you can also search the forum for the threads. CJ definitely should not be getting PT over any of our current youngsters. His time has come and gone.

If there was any way to get Curry out of GS that's my guy. I wouldn't give up Favors for him but pretty much anything else would be up for discussion.

Correct. And this is coming from a former Miles homer.

Bell
Price
AK
Memo
Millsap

Bell and Price are worthless. AK is worthless to this franchise at this time and is going to cost too much. I have been a firm supporter of Memo, but it's time to move on. Millsap needs to be traded for a solid wing player that can shoot and defend SF's or SG's.

Burks, Kanter, Favors, Hayward, and Evans should all see a lot of playing time this year. I really want to see Favors get 30 MPG as a starter. I think he deserved those minutes last season and he should hopefully be better with a year under his belt.

Millsap, because he is going to get us the most return.
Miles, because I actually think someone might find him valuable enough to give up a mid-late 1st round pick.
Bell, because someone may give us a late 1st round for him.
Price, doesn't matter. If it isn't him it is some other scrub.
