Just trying to get an idea of how many people are sold on Schroeder and want him as high as 14. Personally, I'd take him over McCullum, Pope, and MCW.

I still want McCollum just a little bit more..... but the gap has shrunk significantly over the last week or so

I think Nate Wolters is the 2nd best point guard in this draft behind Trey Burke. I would want us to either trade up to get Burke or trade out of our 14th pick and add Alec Burks and our 21st with Cleveland for their two early 2nd rounders and their unprotected 2014 pick. Because I they draft Noel then I am willing to bet he will be out all next season ala Blake Griffin a few seasons ago and make that draft pick pretty good and they are not going to be great his first season there. With the 31 draft Reggie Bullock because I feel he is the best small forward on both ends of the floor besides Otto Porter, Bullock had a great shot and plays really good defense. 33 I draft Nate Wolters and snag the 2nd best point in this draft if I can't trade up to get Burke, because with Nate's size as a facilitator is better than Michael Carter-Williams and Dennis Schröder and with Nate's length he can more than make up for it on defense for being a little slower but I think he will surprise a lot of people with his athleticism like Hayward does and did. With the 47th pick I select a 3rd big preferably Mike Muscula if we need to trade up a little in the 2nd round to get him then so be it.

Dennis Schröder had one good game at the Nike Hoop Summit, and everyone gets hard over that. I want to see more game film on him, also a week ago Chad Ford said in an interview with David Locke that Schröder was having character issues after the death of his father a couple years ago, and it sounds to irrely familiar to JaMarcus Russell when he was drafted when a couple of his family members passed away, so no thank you, to many questions on the kid.

Same. I'm sold. For me, it's not even close to the other PGs. If we were picking higher, I would trade down and pass on Trey.

I was one of the few calling Lillard's greatness this time last year.

Schroeder is a mystery, but probably has the most upside. He has big hands like Stockton, good overall size, and the ability to get in the land like Tony Parker. His 3-point shot is said to be developing. All sounds positive. He really doesn't have a confirmed flaw (like Burke's size, MCW's shot, or McCullum's PG skills) so I would certainly take him with the 14th pick.

That makes sence. Schroeder is a mystery, and yet he has no flaws. He's a mystery to you as you said, but somehow you've decided he has no flaws. Please explain this to me.
well at least you're not alone. oh wait you are.

no he's not.

I think I've said before that anything to the opposite of what D@#$!!@#$!%!@$#@crutt says is usually a strong play, so Schroeder it is.

Here's my PG list this year in the order of preference:

1. Schroeder - quick, fast, plays defense, looking to pass, elite athleticism is key if you want to win Chips. I think he has a higher ceiling than Burke.

2. Burke - great leader, great handle, reliable, looking to pass, 3pt shooting, lower ceiling than Shroeder

3. McCollum - still not convince he's agile/nimble/quick enough to be a PG at the next level, but his shooting is undeniably vital for our squad

4. MCW - Still likes what he brings but still not sure whether he can hit those shots consistently

5. Larkin - more of a backup PG option at this stage

6. Wolters - he can shoot/score I get that, but I really question his athleticism at the next level

7. Canaan - backup PG ala Eddie House, may be a contending team like the Heat can use him.

no he's not.

If you noticed, I said he doesn't have a "confirmed flaw." I am certain he has flaws, but because he is a "mystery" we don't know what they are yet. From his small sample size, the scouts and pundits haven't reported on anything unfixable or glaring.

Burke is definitely better than Schroeder no getting around it. MCW and Schroeder is a toss up at this point to me. McCollum seems more like a shooting guard compared to a point guard to me. The fact that Schroeder has come out and said that he wants to play for the Jazz has him at the top of my list.

Finishing inside, midrange game, could be a bit of a head case, and for me most glaring, is that he is so right hand dominated he has a hard time going to his left, and can't really shoot in ISP situations, more of a set shot. All things I've heard from different scouting reports
