Very tough to say between the core 4 (hayward, favors, burks, or kanter)

I will say hayward simply because he is guaranteed to get the most minutes and will be featured more than the other guys.

I truly believe burks would be our best, most dynamic and exciting player if giving the opportunity.

But i guarantee that hayward will lead the team in minutes

lol @ people voting for Hayward. dude loves money, but he doesn't understand the intense pressure and expectations that comes with it...expect the same Hayward we've seen for the last 4 seasons.

Lol, we have not seen the same Hayward for the last 4 season...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Exum outplays Burke and finds himself in the starting PG job early on. If he's starting, I think he has a Damian Lillard type impact on this team. Exum is the future. If he gets on the court for extended playing time, he'll be the best player / MVP as early as this season.

Derrick Favorsssssssssssssssss

Why does he always look like he is half asleep. Or stoned.

Sorry...silly me for not recognizing how his consistency issues have improved through his first 4 seasons...

Silly of you not to notice that last year his role dramatically changed and that he still increased his APG and RPG. His career shooting %s are higher than last years.

lol@people picking Hayward

Hayward has continually got worse over the years. He has never played good under pressure and with his big contract he is going to be under a ton of pressure to perform well this year. I expect Dante Exum to take away some of his possessions and see Burks and Kanter being more aggressive on their contract years. This will be Hayward 5th year by this time you are who you are. He has always been inconsistent and It wouldn't surprise me at all to see his FG% drop for the 5th straight year. Hope I am wrong and I will support Hayward but seriously have my doubts.

It was tough decision between Burks and Kanter but I chose Burks.

I disagree about the contract. He had more pressure on him last season. He was told to be the team leader, be the playmaker and #1 scorer and earn a max deal. Now the ball gets turned over to Exum and Burke and the offense is freer and up tempo. Hayward is going to thrive!

His increased APG and RPG is more of function of playing time. His huge dropoff in shooting % is a function of not being able to handle "being the man" and taking on the scoring load. His career shooting are higher because he was the 3rd or 4th option his first 3 seasons. So other than pure faith, what makes you believe that Hayward can handle taking the lead role with the team and increase his shooting percentages when we have no past evidence to go on? Statistically, it could be quite possible that Hayward is the best player on the Jazz next season, but that will mean we'll have another dumpster fire of season like we did last year.

Gordon Hayward will go into one of his shooting slumps. This time, unlike Ty, coach Q benches him. Starts Alec Burks and Alec Burks GOES OFF! Alec Burks will be our best player if he learns defense.

Well he should shoot alright from 3pt range this year, every other year he can't hit the broadside of a barn:

'08-'09 Butler 44.8%
'09-'10 Butler 29.4%
'10-'11 Utah 47.3%
'11-'12 Utah 34.6%
'12-'13 Utah 41.5%
'13-'14 Utah 30.4%
