I personally hope the Jazz keep the pick and just take their top rated guy. The extra day gives the front office time to make phone calls, field trade offers and reset their board. They can look at who is on the roster, figure out who fills needs that they still have or just take advantage of a 1st round guy sliding to the top of the 2nd. DA has proven that he’s a hell of an evaluator of talent. Let him cook.
 
It feels so good to have this much talent on the board for this pick. I'm torn between Flip, Tyler Smith and Djurisic right now. Cam Christie is my favorite player on the board but he doesn't make sense from a roster standpoint.

This team won 5 games down the stretch. Any talented player makes sense. While fit and need should be considered in Free Agency, DA should draft the guy he likes best at every spot and let them compete. Build from the top down.
 
Anybody know what Nikola Djurisic’s euro contract looks like? Could he end up being a draft and stash player for a year or two? Might make him rated a little higher if they like that option. Personally, I’ve always liked the idea of stockpiling worthless 2nd round picks during trades and using them on your highest rated foreign league player to see if you can find a steal down the road for minimal cost.
 
I'm just not a Djurisic guy really. Jazz need connectors/passers/guys who play hard. You got some star swings at 10 and 29. I'm good with drafting a guy you project as a role player at 32.

one of the reasons i like djurisic is his upside as a connector/passer. it's based on flashes i've seen more than overall production, but i think he has a chance to be a really good wing passer.

Yeah, he's not a good passer. He's like flashy passes, but he's a selfish player who is awful on defense.
 
I want to say Pelle Larsson but the Jazz probably just pick Furphy if they appreciate Larsson since he’s four years younger.

I should be more in on Flip than I am.

Would find it funny if they drafted Kolek who I believe is BPA.
 
I like Furphy when I watched him… also analytics guys like him. He’s a wing… I make as many bets in wings as I can. Would be fine with Flip but I am all in on Lofton and the ant him to soak up the playmaking big role. So now I’m worried about fit with the #32 pick… suck it @KqWIN
 
Like Furphy’s parents just had the talk with him. Wait until he touches a boob and grows his first stringy mustache and gets some acne. He’s gonna end up 7-1 250 once he finally doesn’t just get that horrible piece of pizza the middle school cafeteria serves for lunch.

I wouldnt be mad at a Furphy pick at all.

He's actually not that young. Turns 20 in December.

I'm not worried about fit when we have two players that we don't even know who are good. We're talking about Lofton, the future Ballon D'or, so yeah it's fine to talk about fit.

Flip and Lofton could play together. I think Flip offers us something we dont really have, a guy who can play the 4 and 5. Also, a passer.
 
I would offer 32 + Yurt for Portland's 34 and 40 (goes into exception). Also drops the salary for more room to do things in the summer.
