Who would you hire......

That's weird from the presser I had the feeling they hinted at they hated Hayward and are going to hire Missionaccomplished (KOCbeGone) to spear head that movement. It would improve JF as per team rules he couldn't post anymore but would severely hurt the Jazz team itself, although since KOC isn't actually gone and got promoted that would mean Hayward would be promoted to the AS team and not actually released/fired from the team.

But then from the presser I also got the hint that they would soon fire him because he would be terrible at the job and he still couldn't post due to team rules (non disclosure and privacy clauses from any former employee).

With how complimentary JVG was of Lindsey......

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes after a SA assistant either. Once I read that this was Corbin's last guaranteed year...the writing is on the wall. New GM, coach with an expiring, only Favors, Kanter, Hayward, Burks and maybe Marvin on contract...screams new direction to me. Lindsey can blow this up and start over if he wants without having to fire anyone, trade anyone, or lose games.

DREAM SCENARIO FOR A GM. Surprised OKC's GM didn't show more interest.

I can't say that I wouldn't like to see a coach like JVG working for the Jazz, but I must say that it's pretty cold to throw Corbin under the bus at this point. While I haven't been thrilled with every aspect of his coaching so far, he has had a partial season after Sloan left and the lockout-shortened, no training camp season to work with. And based on that he has overachieved especially considering how little he had to work with at the SG position last year. I might be right on board with all of you after this season, but for now, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Since when would you consider Hayward, Burks and even Harris "little to work with." What you mean is this:

Instead of trying to develop the players you have with talent, you took the easy way out and played the players that you could easily throw under the bus if things didn't work out.

Corbin gets the benefit of the doubt is his starting lineup looked like this:

Harris
Burks
Hayward
Millsap or Al
Favors

with Kanter getting 20+ mins a night.

Then, you can say that they are young and developing. When you play all your vets, you suck, they whine, and you stick with them.....

How many minutes had Kanter played in organized basketball previous to his rookie year?

Burks played significant minutes as a rookie. Burks was 4th and Kanter was 6th on minutes played for playoff teams.

The blame goes to Miller and KOC more than Corbin. Instead of interceding and telling Ty it was ok to miss the playoffs - if he developed the young players - the FO kept saying that the goal was to win at all costs and make the playoffs. It was ALWAYS that way under Sloan as well. He'd play nearly washed up vets at the start of the season over younger guys just to eke out a couple more early wins, which would come back to bite him at the end of the year. Then it was the same the next season: he'd still have inexperienced young players.

I fear we're seeing the same %$#^& cycle again. Instead of going with Burks, Hayward and Marvin Williams for 30+ mins each, with a little K. Murohy thrown in as a shooter, Jazz have gone out and signed Foye and perhaps Howard. So once again, we'll see Burks and Kanter warming the bench. And getting so %^&*$ pissed off they'll take the first Trax train outta town when they get the chance.

Ty made the playoffs last season. He's not going anywhere.

I'm not sure I would go that far. This team as currently constituted should be better than last year's team. A step or two backwards that is not caused by multiple injuries to starters could definitely cause Ty his job.
