In honor of the horror show that is Lonzo Ball's jump shot they showed in the broadcast last night (and because we've got a freakin WEEK til the 1st game), I thought I'd put together a poll on whose shot looks best.

I think Joe Johnson's looks best -- dude's just a beast, but close after that (and ahead of Rodney's) is Mitchell's. He squares really well, follows through perfectly, and releases at just the right point. Dang impressive.

Not sure I should have included Rudy since his shot is essentially RAMMING THE F-ING BALL STRAIGHT DOWN!

Does this count as a shooting mechanic?

Real answer would be Donovan Mitchell as he has the most traditional/textbook mechanics on the team.

I'm going with JJ.
As preeerty as Hood's shot is, I think it is a little quick or forceful and is prone to clangers.

Caveat: I am the worst shooter in the history of basketball.

There is only one acceptable answer.
Hood

There's a lot going on in Hood's shot. It's very smooth, but it's still a 2 motion shot that relies a lot on his legs.

I liked the subtle change in Hood's mechanics where he isn't using his legs as much... I think it will help him be a better spot up shooter.

DM's shot mechanics are pretty flawless and he can't get it off the dribble and step backs better than anyone. Gets great arc on his shot.

I think his set shot changed a little this offseason and is using less legs... but its a small sample size.

Ante Tomic. Duh.
Wait, who was that big stiff from a year or so ago that had unreal shooting mechanics......
Ahhh tiebor pleiss or something.

Donovan Mitchell's shot looks picture perfect. Now it needs to starts falling in as well as it looks. Joe Jesus' shot looks pretty damn good too. Hood's shot looks beautiful when you watch it full speed, but when you slow it down you see he has a bit of a funky release with the holding hand being a bit too much on the front of the ball.
