What's new

Who's your #5 and #23 combo?

I say Aaron Gordon at 5 and KJ McDaniels at 23. You've got the 3 sewn up for the immediate future and you're set if you can't / don't want to re-sign Hayward. If you do re-sign Hayward, you've got a deep 1-2-3 with Burks and Burke. AG can also play the 4. Either way, lots of flexibility.

Oh, and Spencer Dinwiddie at 35.

You don't draft 2 players for the same position. It's a sin.

Julius Randle at 5 and Kyle Anderson at 23

This is extremely intriguing:

Burke
Hayward/Burks
Anderson
Randle/Kanter
Favors

Or with this lineup - you can "switch EVERYTHAAAAANNGGGGGGG" on defense:

Burks
Hayward
Anderson
Randle
Favors

AKA the ultimate John Calipari lineup.

Kyle Anderson will not be able to guard starting SFs. Not even close.
but if you can switch he wont really have to 'move'

IF Exum falls Exum and K.J McDaniels. If not Gordon and Bogdanovic.

Yes, Aaron Gordon>Julius Randle ALL DAY! If Wiggins, Embiid, and Parker are not obtainable for the right price you sit tight and draft Aaron Gordon and not second guess yourself for a second.

C'mon now. No way the jazz would go for Gordon at 5. Unless they trade down to the 8-10 range. If we fail to trade up, I'm all in for trading down and getting Gordon at 8 or something.

Celtics or Lakers will take him at 6 or 7, so we need to take him at 5, unless Exum falls to us and we make a trade with them but I see Boston taking him at 6 too unless Vonleh is there because Smart was taken by Orlando at 4, so maybe. I say take Gordon at 5 and forget about it and not worry what anyone else does.

Switch what? There isn't a position on the floor he can gaurd. We want to play with pace, and have better defense. He is the antithesis of both of those objectives.
