I checked the box scores and, yeah, going by the memory I exaggerated the size of the point differential: it was actually not 25-30, but rather 20+ points. In the last 7 losses the Jazz were at some point behind by at least 20 points 4 times - against ATL, OKC, Knicks and Clippers. That still seems to be a lot for me. And, honestly, when you fall behind by 20 points against even an average team it pretty much means the game is over. I do not remember the Jazz being so prone to total collapses earlier in the season.
Recently, unless we play a hopeless team like the Bobcats or Detroit, you can always count on the Jazz to have a collapse: to completely fall apart in one of the quarters and fall behind by 20, or to collapse at the end of the close game with multiple turnovers/bad shots. Which is really unexpected - usually the teams with many new players and/or rapidly improving young players are getting better as the season progresses.
