"Last week was a big preview time for the Brooklyn Nets and their part-owner and, for now, their prime attraction, Jay-Z. Why not? The Nets referred to Jay-Z as a “cultural icon.” Any relation to Carl Ichan?

Jay-Z is so powerful he’s the only NBA team owner who can regularly, publicly and profitably call black men “n****rs.”

“Commissioner Stern, one of your team owners openly refers to black men as n****rs. You down wid dat, Dee-Stern?” He must be.

What a shame. The most detestable of American words was trending dead."

Exactly. There is no point, except to make me feel stupid for calling someone out when they call CJ a racist. I have no idea if CJ is a racist or not. Calling someone a hopper, though, is not racism in and of itself. That's it. Have fun CJ.
 
And to answer the original question of the thread, it's because he is black. Black people can use the N word. Hell, anyone CAN use it. I heard Louis CK say it on HBO while talking to Chris Rock, so I guess gingers can say it too.

Its sad that there are racist people still in the world in this day in age. The fact is, the N word is derogatory no matter how its said and who says it. Black people shouldnt say it, white people sure as hell shouldnt say it. And i dont think you saying that anyone can say it is very mature, or an intelligent thing to say. My wife is black, and Im Italian. My 2 girls are half one and half the other. I would hate for my kids to be raised thinking that word is ok for them to use because they're half black, and I would beat some *** if anyone were to call them that ugly derogatory word.

Well that is your opinion of it man. Words are meaningless unless you choose to give the power. Just because you think they are derogatory means everyone else in the world has too. I personally don't say the word at all.
