Why is the media ordaining Spurs champs already?

Haven't watched much but box score ballin' (c) tells me that OKC has put up a great fight. It's hard to win on the road in the Finals and OKC has kept every road game close so far. Same can't be said for San Antonio Skurts.

They probably saw that I predicted Spurs would sweep and got a little carried away.

This is true. They could have easily won game 1. They win today and it's still a series. They lose and it might as well be over.

Well, the reason they caught everyone's eye is because they had won 20 games in a row and 34 out of the last 37 including the loss to us with their scrubs, so basically they had lost two games in the last 37 (that's on track to win 77.5 games in an 82 game season). They had won 23 out of 26, basically 24 out of 26 road games, since January. In other words, they had lost two road games since January 1st, let alone two road games in a row.

STFU JJRage.

STFU JJRage.

What in God's name are you talking about? I answered your lazy *** (and some what dubious) question with reasonable facts. Are you saying what they had done prior to these last two games was not incredible and something that the Jazz have never done? They might lose every game from here on out, but what they did before was nothing short of amazing. Maybe Ibaka will go 11/11 next game too. It's obvious you opened this thread for the self-congratulatory potential, and I aided and abetted. I really hesitated to respond because I knew any answer not somehow approaching adulation to the "keen" insight provided would be met with the disturbing orgasmic-like self lauding (subtly disguised as an F-you) enabled by a response that did not do the same. Shame on me!

I think he was just saying STFU JJRage.

Holeeey ODEN! I'm so happy right now. My baby just fell off the couch and my wife made me eat a live spider. Do you want to chat? Where/s Verlin? I need me some quality Verlin time. McGibb will do too, of course. Gibbles always does.

I've been thinking more about a human being's constructed reality; much of our happiness is left to genetics, but much is left to our struggle with the reality that we establish or the seamless integration thereof. I'm trying to move into your reality based off of your last two responses, Mr. Franklin, and I'm having two experiences: 1) "the horror" Apocalypse Now style 2) you are Morpheus offering me two pills and I am tempted to take the red pill. My world is shaken, and nothing makes sense.

Ugh, this ending was a let down. Mods, please ban this alternate account of mine. I no longer care for it.

Because they hadn't lost in 50 days. They were clearly the best team in the league for the last two months. Just because OKC is making a series of this doesn't mean that SA won't be champs. If anything, this is the NBA finals. Whoever comes out of the West is going to ravage whoever comes out of the east.

Yes, please do. My need to possess and control like royalty will not allow me to endure this cumbersome account, which no longer pleasures me sufficiently to gratify my fetish.

The philosophical approach to life - in our country is the right :) Actually doing some garbage , instead of thinking about the soul and the soul :)

You turned it up a few notches in here. Thank you.

''Down the stretch, it seemed like they got every whistle possible and that really changed the tide,'' San Antonio's Tim Duncan said. ''We were playing tough defense and trying to get stops, but the whistle kept blowing and they went to the line.''

Duncun just sort of said that the refs decide who wins some of the time.

And he could have a point. OKC shot 31 FTs. Spurs? 18. Durant alone shot almost as many FTs as the ENTIRE Spurs team.

That always strikes a nerve. I remember from 08-10 when we'd play the Lakers in every playoff and Kobe would typically have just as many/more FTs than our entire team. Even Phil Johnson one year hinted to the refs giving way too many FT attempts to Kobe and not to us. He even said something like, "our superstar is getting knocked to the floor and he isn't getting any calls."

Don't get me wrong, Durant is a hell of a player (just like Kobe). But I always question things when I see one player shoot as many FTs as an entire TEAM.
