I thought Jerebko would at least be getting some minutes, but guess there are no minutes for him in close games, especially with the way Favors has been playing, and he's surely not going to play ahead of Joe Jesus. Guess, too, it's match-ups. Is anyone surprised by this?
 
No. Udoh is a beast at backup center, so Favors has to get his minutes at PF. JJ2 is just the odd man out with Udoh earning those backup C minutes, and Favors and JJ1 taking up the PF minutes.
 
He isn't playing because Udoh is the best defensive player in the world.

How can you ask that question after watching Udoh???
 
Love that Favors has taken a three here and there. If he starts hitting some, that could increase too.
 
With the back to back coming in Phoenix on Wednesday probably a good time to rest JJ1 and give JJ2 some court time.

Lol, i think it was after the Adams technical and Ingles was having some kind words with him, but anybody else notice Jerebko jump off the bench looking like he was ready to go to bat for his teammate? Just a really small gesture but I thought to myself, "I like this dude!".
 
The Jazz have a lot of pieces to integrate. They may be waiting to build some chemistry. I am excited to see the Nordic Corndog play.
 
He'll be ready when it's time to play. Boston did the same thing to him, but when they needed him the Swedish Swish was ready.
 
Jerebko was one of my favorites when he played for Detroit. Super gritty. I wonder how much better he'd be if it weren't for him blowing his Achilles.
 
He's simply not that good and the bench is deep would be my guess. JJ should never play back-to-backs, so it would be good to see what Jerebko has to offer in those games (then again, Joe is critical to providing an offensive hub/calming presence/reliable offensive option since the offense is pretty rickety).
 
I would like to see the Jazz take 5 min or so away from JJ and let Jerebko run amok on the court. JJ should be around 15 min unless he is hot and Jerebko should get a chance to bother and frustrate other bigs. Same thing with Jerebko give him more minutes if he is hot.

My guess is that with Hood not really playing much the first 3 games Snyder needs more offense and JJ is getting more playing time because of that.
