What's new

Why no thread on the democratic debates?

Actually, I'm not. That number is calculated excluding symbolic bills and the like.

https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/browse?sponsor=412542#_

Sorry to shatter your little narrative.

And yeah, there's plenty of overlap between Williamson and Stein. I'm not saying she's a Stein clone, but their platforms aren't so different. Both skeptical of things like mandatory vaccination and GMOs. If you can't see Williamson as someone who could gain wide traction among green party voters, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

Yeah, let’s take a look from the top down at the first 5 that a Republican has co-sponsored.

1. S. 2060: Gambling Addiction Prevention Act of 2019 (1R)
2. S. 1501: Blast Pressure Exposure Study Improvement Act (1R)
3. S.Con.Res. 15: A concurrent resolution expressing support for the designation of October 28, 2019, as “Honoring the Nation’s First Responders Day”. (3R)
4. S.Res. 162: A resolution supporting the designation of April 2019 as “National Donate Life Month”. (1R)
5. S. 1118: Gold Star Spouses and Spouses of Injured Servicemembers Leasing Relief Expansion Act of 2019 (4R)

I’ve gotta say, that’s some hard hitting legislation right there. Not that I disagree with some of these...it’s just a nothing burger. I looked through most of those, a whole lotta fluff.

No **** he “restored” their hours, he was going to get eaten alive over his obvious hypocrisy.
He also is not taking money from PACs like all the other candidates, so he has to hustle to keep up with them. At least he owned up to it. Any of the other candidates paying their ground-level campaign workers that much?

Funny how he always seems to bring up the Koch’s, but never Soros. Hmmmm, I wonder why....

You talking about Bernie. He is not supported by Soros. The mainstream Dems are. In my opinion, the Koch's are far more heinous than Soros. The Kochs are leading the charge to advance global warming, poison the planet with agri-business chemicals, start a war with Venezuela, foment racism and attack women's rights. They are disgusting pigs.

Why did you selectively edit out the rest of my post? Specifically the part that mentions the 39% figure was arrived at by disregarding symbolic bills?

In any case picking the first five out of a hundred and fifty bills doesn't seem like the best way to go about it. Heres a few more, less "fluffy" ones I randomly scrolled to.

S. 1028: Strengthening the Tenth Amendment Through Entrusting States Act

S. 2575: Audiology Patient Choice Act of 2018

S. 2499: A bill to require the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority to establish a relief fund to provide investors with the full value of unpaid arbitration awards issued against brokerage firms or brokers regulated by the Authority.

S. 2474: Retirement Savings Lost and Found Act of 2018

S. 2138: AIM HIGH Act

S. 1282 (113th): 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act of 2013

Can we please put to bed the notion that she doesn't have a bipartisan bone in her body to bed now?

Well, first off, I got rid of the top portion of your quote because it’s worthless.

Second, yes, much better method of you going through 150 bills and hand selecting 5, then me just giving the top 5, to fit your argument.

Third, no, we can’t. Sane people realize Warren doesn’t have a bi-partisan bone in her 1/36 Native American boned body.

Speaking of Native Americans, shouldn’t we be giving reparations to those people first. What about the next generation of African Americans, what makes the “gimme free ****” generation more deserving of reparations than the next that we KNOW will be better?

What has jazzfanz become? Certainly not Christian that is for sure.

Based on my limited experience on Christian message boards, we are far too tolerant of differences around here to be Christian. Considering the very deep Christian beliefs of the site's owner and the site's administrator, I find that to be a great credit to them.

Or because it completely undermines your argument? Pretty transparent move there ****nuts.

Anyway the original request was to provide only three bills, I provided six.

Why didn’t you answer all of my points, oh, because we all know Warren is a kook. Pretty vaggy move there eunuch.

In all honestly, your 39% number was **** because what does that mean for the other 61%...fluff. Trust me son, ain’t nobody who has half a brain afraid to debate your garbage points.

Oh I don't doubt that you certainly have no qualms about it.

It would be cool if people could just admit when they've been proven wrong instead of just handwaving evidence they don't like away. Ah, to dream.

You’re delusional man-child, honestly. Any Republican who agrees with 10% of Warrens policies is DOA.

Your logic is truly stunning. Warren isn't capable of compromise or bipartisanship because... Republicans won't work with her?

Truly galaxy brain stuff here, you should be proud.

I liked Stein until I found out she was anti-vax. I draw a bright line at endangering kids.

Yeah that was a definite turn off. I don't understand that logic at all. That aside, I was impressed with her business acumen though.

You showing me a bill that says “May 28th is good health day” who had ONE Republican co-sponsor and expect me to believe that shows she’s capable of bipartisanship?

We can’t keep moving the goal posts or I’ll be debating your moronic takes all night.

You asked why I left out your top piece about the 39%, I responded that was because it’s fluff, and then you say I’ve been proven wrong because 2 Republicans co-sponsored a “Check your tire pressure day”. Get outta here with that garbage.

It must really hurt you to know how unelectable Warren is, I get it little guy, I was a Ron Paul aficionado in 2008 and 2012.

For the purposes of this story, AP did not count legislation that had a largely ceremonial effect, such as bills designating commemorative days or outlining Congress’ nonbinding views on certain issues

Now, I don't know if you are just intentionally being dishonest or if you really are this ****ing dumb.

"Moving the goal posts" FFS. You provided the few bills that were fluff, I provided examples of actual policy. Again the OP I was responding to asked me for three examples and I provided six, I'm confident I could find more. Now please do everyone in your life a favor and **** off forever.

I had a dream as I slept. I was reminded of the scriptures where 2 prophets were dragged, while being tied up, to a site where the people were burning Christian men, women and children. They were told if you will deny Christ we will stop burning them. One prophet said to the other we have the power to call on God to stop this let us do it. Paraphrased - The other said to him I feel constrained not to act as those burned go to their eternal glory and the evil ones doing the burning are sealing their eternal damnation.
At which time I prayed for those vile, mean spirited and anti-Christian jazzfanz members, that take great pleasure in attacking me. You say don't assume we are socialist liberal democrats and some of you are not, but you will be held accountable for being vile, mean spirited and anti-Christian if you don't repent.
When I was attacked and was told I hope you die and your mother gets to watch and then I hope she is assaulted the next day. I counted 2 of you that said that type of attack is not right. TWO One being a mod, and the mod said you have every right to be angry but, etc.
Christ died that the gates of heaven might be opened to us, if only we would repent. Now go ahead with the attacks and seal your eternal damnation, or repent and at least try to become the best person you can be. For we are all sinners.
I find it ironic that a 4 year old has more of the spirit of God in her than her father. God bless you all.
