Why you chose the username you have, on Jazzfanz

Many moons ago, I was TICC (my initials), but felt I needed an edgier and ironic handle. I chose Gay Vegan Communist because, well, this is a Utah Jazz board. I have also had duplicate accounts: DancePartyUSA and Hanoman for obvious reasons.

My handle on RGM is PimpHandStrong, which is ****ing awesome.

Spat? I was paying homage to the stud. Dude's a role model for all to follow and the future of our political system.

Salmon>Trout

Hobo>Bum

I might believe it's really homage if you came second and called yourself MinnowDingle or something even less awesome. Otherwise, it's one-upsmanship. And sorta respectably clever.

It was the first thing that popped into my stoned mind as an enamored 18 year old who just stumbled upon jazzhoops.net's forums for the first time circa 2002. I don't remember how/why jazzhoops turned into jazzfanz or why/if I switched, but I've kept the same name throughout so as to remind fans in Utah that there is at least one person who is a die hard Jazz fan outside state lines. I've since stopped smoking ganja, gotten married and changed a lot in my life but not my allegiance to the Jazz. I'm no transplant either. I was born, raised and continue to live here in Chicago. If you want to know how I became a Jazz fan let me know because it's a mindblowing story - just like how my username was created.

i've had the nickname Moe since I was about 8 or 9, and on a road trip many eons ago, my friends and I got lost and ended up passing through a small town called Moeville in western Wisconsin, which we all thought was a real hoot, and so the name moeville sort of stuck. The first message board I joined was for the U of Illinios Fighting Illini, so I stuck "illini" on the end of moeville and got moevillini. I just kept that name when I joined other message boards, partly because I somehow thought that I had to, I had this naive idea that it was some sort of protocol or something.

Safetydan.. uh, its an incredibly obscure reference within the larger framework of ”homestarunner”, a short lived, internet, flash video, animated fad from 2004. The name stuck when i found that when people shout out “safetydan” in anger and frustration whilst playing halo 1 via link cable from downstairs it is funny to me.

Archie Moses is Adam Sandler's characters name in the movie Bullet Proof. In high school, for some dumb reason, my friends called me Archie Moses.

What is the youngblood85 supposed to mean/represent though? just curious.
The name and number of an old Rams player

Oh and way back when my name was "12cz32" but I guess on other boards there was the same name and he had a bad reputation and so when Stock and Malone retired I thought I'd change it.

I was aware that this still existed and actually searched it out for nostalgia's sake but sadly, i no longer find it entertaining. =(

Well, outside of a few gems in Stongbad's email and some of that intro most of it was pretty meh to begin with. But my kids still go there from time to time so I get reminded.

Also, look up Homestar Runner vs Salad Fingers. That is pretty good.

Alaskan Assassin was my choice because I am from Alaska (although I recently moved to Arizona) and grew up idolizing Trajan Langdon (kind of sad to admit that now). I attended the same High School as him only a couple years later. I never had a chance to play with him, but I did play against the Jazz all-time great Carlos Boozer. He probably had 35 points with at least 10 dunks when we played Juneau.

Where in the holy hell did this guy go?
