will Favor demand similar extension John Wall just got?

John Wall just received 5 year 80 mil extension. I'm sure Favor is following that, I'm afraid he will demand similar contract

No. No way in hell would we pay that.

John Wall is one of the league's best PG's (hardest position).

Favors (who I absolutely love), has only proven that he can play good defense and may be deserving of his starters minutes this year. (By not playing Favors, we might have devalued him enough that we can afford him and others when they blossom).

I wish there was arbitration boards that could decide extensions for players between years 3 and 4. Both the player and the team can decide if they want to do the deal or move on to restricted free agency. Under this circumstance Favors would get $10 to $11M and John Wall would have only gotten $8 - $9M based upon production. In that situation John wall would have waited for restricted free agency thinking he could get more and in Favors case I think both sides would agree on something like this.

Unfortunately the Wizards stink so bad that they foolishly set the high bar early for a player who has produced very little thus far and he is getting a Max deal based only on potential.

Very false. The team sucks, yes. John Wall? Dude is great. He is en route to superstardom. Last year he averaged 18.6 pts, 7.6 assists and 1.3 steals. How he got 7.6 assists on that team is beyond me.

Do I think his contract is a little high? Of course. Like you said, Washington has to pay it, because they are Washington. Were they wrong to pay it? No. They need to keep him.

Favors is going to have a huge year this year, and deserve that contract. Favors is an 80 million dollar man.

I personally hope so. Not for the amount of course but for the length. We all should wait for this seasons performance to accurately acknowledge the true potential of not only Favors, but many others too.

I am thrilled with Favors but unless he pulls down 20, 20 and 5 this year he has not earned that money. Wether his fault or his coaches, he has not earned it. That is 16 per. No.

I hope not because John Wall doesn't deserve his Max contract. Dude has been hurt and hasn't gotten his team into the playoffs but he deserves a MAX contract. Now you know why certain franchises are in the lottery year after year. It seems as though "stars" just feel entitled to a MAX deal and franchise just roll over and give them out.

The Jazz have more leverage with Favors than the Wizards do with Wall but Favors is going to need an MVP like year to earn his max contract. Besides if Favors wants too much money then trade him and draft a PF in the 2014 draft. I like Favors and want to keep him but he hasn't earned a MAX contract.

If I am the Jazz, there is no way I pay Wall a max deal.

If I am Washington, I pay Wall a max deal in a heartbeat.

Not likely. He seems pretty down to Earth. He didn't get Rookie of the year, and he's already been traded once.

Now, I bet he'll get 10M/y, or close to it. Being his size pays.

Wall's not a good comparison, his last two months were incredible and it appears he finally made the leap to all star level PG.

I'm sure Wall will have a huge impact on the wins, and losses in Washington.

Big men are always more valuable. Favors will produce good numbers with more minutes, and experience.

Wishful thinking. He's a starter and an impact defensive player. if he ONLY gets $10M, it's because he's valued as a third big. Jazz will be paying at least $12M unless they decide to trade him.

You're probably right, but I'm going to stick with my answer until proven otherwise.
