It doesn't matter if he wants 5 years, $80 million. I don't see any way he gets that kind of money. IMO, the Jazz should offer him an extension for around 4 years at $10 million per year right now. He's set to make $6 million this year and $8 million next year on his RFA qualifying offer. If he doesn't take the extension, you let him hit free agency next year and match the contract. That means he has had two solid seasons as a starter to gauge his value. If he earns a max contract by then, great. Otherwise, let the market dictate his value. So many guys thought they were going to make a killing this year only to have their expectations dashed.
