Will The Jazz Get a PG?

Everyone has been salivating over the thought of getting Bledsoe, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. The Jazz definitely need a PG and there are some PG names floating out there. They may not get the PG for their future, but they can definitely upgrade that position. Minor, Blake, Ridonour, Bynum would all be better than Watson. If we can't get Bledsoe, who should the Jazz go after?

The question then becomes are any of the names you listed worth it to the Jazz to give up Big Al or Millsap? I do not want the Jazz to make a trade jsut to make a trade. I want them to make a good trade that helps the team without gutting it.

Exception: Bell for anything...

The Jazz have other assets than Millsap and Big Al. I'm just desperate for the Jazz to get a PG. I can't stand to watch Tinsley and Watson try and guard the league's pg's.

I am actually a fan of Tinsley, not as a starter of course. Watson needs to go. Are there any big FA PGs this summer? Jazz would have money to throw at him...

The Pacers are shopping DJ Augustin. He'd fit in nicely with the poor-shooting PG crew the Jazz have.

i like the idea of trading for Augustin lots more than paying a kings ransom for bledsoe.
whats the downside? he sucks?(worse than earl, tinsley?!?) & mo takes over when hes healthy for the playoff push.

that seems like a worthy gamble. 25y/o, 37% career 3pt shooter

(i liked augustin after 1yr of college tho, im biased. for texas he was crafty around the rim, that didn't translate whatsoever)

Your thoughts sure are great. Glad they're so important that they warrant their very own thread.

Jazz have a better PG than Watson: his name is Mo Williams. Once Mo returns, Watson goes back to the bench. And given how, SURPISINGLY, Corbin played Burks even with Hayward back, don't be surprised if Burks sees action as the 3rd PG once Mo returns. It will be very interesting to see how things play out once the deadline passes. I know the team is still trying to move up in the playoffs, but Ty will be under no pressure to keep playing the "tradeable" vets. Wonder if their minutes will decline a bit.

Like Mo said, we will get a better pg...Mo Williams.

That will be the crap KOC and Rigby will be spewing once today ends.

"Blah, blah, blah, chemistry, blah, blah, blah, healthy, blah, blah, blah, Al loves Utah, blah, blah, blah, Mo getting healthy is like a trade, blah, blah, blah, young players improving though we don't plan to play them, blah, blah, blah"

Locke: "some worthless made up stat like LHM's batting average showing the Jazz will now win it all..."

Titillating.

From an instant-gratification standpoint, I want Bledsoe and I want him now. The other part of me knows that we could let Paul/Al walk, have awesome cap room this offseason and draft CJ Mac in the 10-14 range and watch him give us the world.

Why does everyone want cap room this summer? Who is out there to sign? All cap room this summer will do is saddle the Jazz with bad contracts.

Also, the Jazz won't let Al walk. You are insane if you think that is what is going to happen. The only way Al isn't on this team next year is if he is traded in the next hour or so.

Just let Burks run the show.

Plus we'd get a preview of Trey Burke.

Oops ... not supposed to say that here.

Totally different player IMO. Burke is a pass first PG who isn't afraid to go inside and get physical. He only shoots the 3 when nothing else is on. Burke also has much more leadership skills which Augustine has yet to show.
