Will the Jazz have an all star this up coming season?

Will the Jazz have an allstar this year?

Are we honestly considering Hayward an All Star this year? That's as rich as Burks starting over Foye because he had one good summer game & some nice ab pics out of P3.

No, I think it's based on Hayward and Favors being chosen for the Select team. That means they have a pretty good reputation around the league.

I really think Hayward is going to suprise us all... He'll be in the mix imo as long as the Jazz are a top 5 team in the west. I think he'll be more impressive than Manu, Hardin (oh yeah), Iggy, Martin, and Tyreke. The only shooting Guard in the west that will be better than him will be Kobe. (I do think Klay Thompson will be fabulous this year but I still think Hayward will be better.)

wow, new level of homeristic delusion. Just for the record I would say there will be at least 10 shooting guards better then Hayward.

Here's my take, I may be wrong but here it is anyway: Hayward is good, but not great. An all around talented player, but not the kind of dominant force that it takes to be an all star.

Prove me wrong Gordon, i'd like that.

Agreed he is the only player I see having a chance, because Favors is in a loaded front court.

Did all you guys forget that DWill was All-NBA before he was an All-Star?

The only way the Jazz get someone on the All-Star team is if the Jazz are top 3 in the west through January. That means they would be better than either the Spurs, Thunder or Lakers. I'm a Homer but this is a new level.

Next year seems more likely.

I think we should instead talk about Burks and Kanter making it to the Rookie Sophomore game. Do hey both make it? Does only one make it? Do neither make it? I think is a much more likely scenario.

I'm not calling Hayward an All-Star, but since you threw out the number 10 I'm curious as to which shooting guards you rank above Hayward.

Millsap was on the bubble last year. If he embraces the split time at PF and SF, then I could see him getting the nod. Otherwise, his minutes will decrease for Favors. Jefferson could get the call at center, although Bogut, Howard, and Kaman could give him strong competition.

In the Western Conference:
Kobe
Harden
Manu
Iggy
Eric Gordon
Wesley Matthews
Marcus Thornton
Hayward (I think Hayward will surpass THornton and Matthews this season though)

Kobe, Harden, Ginobili, E.Gordon, K.Martin, A.Iguodala, B.Roy, W. Matthews, N.Batum, M.Thornton. Hayward is not pure SG, he is more like guard/forward so if you look into that group I could ad W.Chandler as well. I would be very, very surprised if Hayward has better stats then any of them this season.
