Winner/Loser of this draft

Shh, we are not allowed to use reality here.

So your personal opinion constitutes "reality"? Apparently, the majority here do not feel he was the best player remaining on the board. Neither did ESPN, nor did most mock drafts.

But whatever makes you happy, I suppose.

With one obvious exception, in the past decade or so, the reality is the Jazz FO are such losers with 1st round picks.

Really, the Jazz absolutely need to get a high lottery pick to get somebody like Deron. But give them mid-1st rounders and they grab Humphries and Snyder. Give them a late 1st and they get Koufos and Almond. And now give them a late lottery pick and they get Hayward.

Winners? KK2 and Fes who have to be feeling a little more secure in their employment next year.
Loser? Paul Milsap, who will probably be our only legit PF and who will continue to get clobbered in the paint as un undersized dude without any legitimate help.

Yeah just reread this thread. Have to say that it didn't turn out the way most of these guys thought it would. Sac did get Cousins and he has been great. But Whiteside? Where is he again? Oh the DLeague. All year almost. Yeah he was a great pick.

Hayward and Evans have both been good for this team.

I could live with Hayward. IF HE COULD ****ING SHOOT. Seriously he shot below 30% on the college three last year. To compare, ****ing Ronnie Brewer shot around 40% from the college three his last year in the NCAA's. **** my life.

Since February, Hayward lead the NBA in 3 point fg%. Yeah, **** your life.

Winner was definitely honz. He was a Hayward fan from Day 1. And we either doubted him or were indifferent. I wasn't as critical, because no one still available at #9 really impressed me that much. But I will admit I thought Hayward might be a quality backup some day. Now it looks like we have a starting "making guard" who not only is going to create mismatches on offense, but can actually play pretty solid "D."

Second winner would be KOC. He needed a quality lottery pick and he hit it out of the park. And we can remove Humphries from the list of "busts." Took him a while to develop, but he finally matured and is working his butt off. A double-double with decent defense. NJ is only 1 player away (and a healthy Deron) from being a solid playoff team.

Hell, it even looks like Kosta is turning it around.
