What's new

With the 47th Pick, Kevin Murphy

Way too much negativity. What were you naysayers really expecting from the 47th pick? I mean, I can see why you'd be a little upset, but there's like, full-blown butthurt up in hurr.

He's got good body control and a more natural shot than CJ Miles. He's got a mid-range game.

I'm interested to hear the explanation KOC gives about their process this year. Who were they trying to get? Did they offer any reasonable trades? Etc.

Always going to be outspoken fans that hate every move that is made. Just part of being on a message board. The # of people upset by this pick seems to be in a far minority.

I accidently caught a few minutes once when I was flippin' channels during commercials in a different game.

Murphy's kinda good sometimes, and sometimes not that good.

Gimme my rep.

Sorry, catching a few minutes doesn't qualify as watching a game.

You guys need to relax. This was the 47th pick and I thought Murphy was a good pick up because he provides instant offense and 3 point shooting which we need.

The guy hasn't even played 1 minute of NBA basketball, let's stop with the terrible comparisons (CJ) until we actually see him play.

That's awesome. I hope he is somewhere in that range to. I saw on YouTube he hit very shot and made 50 points. He is great!

Remember Jodie Meeks did something similar and was drafted around this range. He might be something like him, but little bigger. Meeks had 50 something I think

Isn't anyone a little worried they're going to announce the Mo deal tomorrow and that Dallas has given us the stumpy Marquette kid or the 38 year old center as payment? I've bought in on Murphy already. But I don't think I can do it for those other two dudes.

Lets get him suited up for summer league and see if he can continue to tear it up like he did in Portsmouth

A complete waste of a pick. We have Hayward at the 2. And Burks. And this guy looks like a chucker who's a 2 and 2 only. We don't need him taking shots away from Favors and Co. ****ing shoot me. I just wasted the last four hours of my life.

Cy--You act as if any shooter is going to save us. Newsflash. This guy will never start for us nor be on the floor in any important situation so it doesn't matter. Just shoot me now.

And just who were you expecting Utah to take at #47? How many mid 2nd-rounders are starters or even rotation players - and I'm not just talking Jazz? Most 2nd-rounders don't even make it past training camp. The guy at least has an NBA skill. He can shoot. I'm not sure the same can be said for Hayward, Burks or any of the other clowns we've had at the 2 or 3. Oh wait, I take that back. They can all shoot, they just can't make a basket.

Had the Jazz drafted a big, I'm sure you'd be screaming about the logjam the Jazz already have at the 4 and 5. And if the deal for Mo goes down, then the Jazz already have 3 PG's under contract (not counting Tinsley). SO what does that leave, SF? OK, would you have been happy with Papanikolaou, Joseph, Hummel or any of the other SF's that were still on the board at #47?

And my point was that your reaction is equally hyperbolic the other direction.

But certainly better than the 32% crap you were trying to spread around. How did your man crush Wesley Johnson shoot in college?

I'm not even certain that it's true that it's "average." Are you? Or are you kind of pulling things out of the ole' arse as per usual?

Combined, how many games have you watched of each of these players? I mean seriously, the pretension of knowledge here is somewhat astounding.

1. Wow, what a great point. Good thing you graced us with your presence to let all us little people know your every thought.
2. I see your douchiness hasn't missed a beat. I have no idea what average would be or where I could find that out. Hence, "maybe." The general point still stands.
3. No more or less than you. So let's not split hairs here. I think any sort of logic would tell us that a guy who averaged as many assists as only one or two other guys over the last 15 years or so in college makes a lot more sense than some skinny *** chucker who has absolutely no future as a starter.
4. In case you missed it, I pointed out how you're still a douche.

And Machado doesn't get drafted.

Douchiness is much better than idiocy.

You can smell Mo Almond. I am going to predict he turns into Wesley Matthews. Get him in the weight room, and watch him blossom.
