But ya, you are mostly right. I remember lots of excitement in the salt lake valley when trey's name was called on draft night. (I was up at payson lakes campground listening on a crappy radio that was not getting good reception at all and when i heard trey's name all I could do was smd)

I remember Locke saying before the draft that Lindsay was really high on Gobert and Giannis and that he wouldn't be surprised if we took Giannis with 12 and Gobert with 14.

DL was brand new and koc and ole Jer still had a lot of suck. DL probably figured it was too early to buck those powers and Ty was Jer's guy.

Please dude. There are more people behind the scenes scouting and informing decisions than just DL or KOC. Walt Perrin, the head of scouting, probably has more say than Corbin ever did. The FO gave the credit for Burke to Corbin because the entire FO thought it was a great pick. They wanted Corbin to have some goodwill among fans (and maybe they also wanted the blame to be on him if it didnt work out).

It's the Euroleague. His length and athleticism was the reason he is a bad NBA player. It wouldn't show as much in Euroleague. He can get to his spots better. Pleiss is contributing well enough.

And I was all for getting Burke so I need to see him be succesful for a team I root for at least.

Maybe, I'm not that familiar with Euroleague, but don't guys generally need to be able to shoot outside in that league? Trey Burke is not very good at that, especially for a PG.

Not really. Not ever Euro guard can shoot. And Burke can shoot, he just cant shoot against length/size of the NBA.

He is shooting a lot better this year with fewer attempts. It's just that there aren't as many athletic guys in Euroleague as in NBA so he would feel more at place. His defense wouldn't look as bad and he could pull up with more space. Things like that.
