Woj: Celtics working to land both Gordon Hayward and Paul George

lmao. So he was up and down? And, since you're saying he outplayed him all year, I assume that means when Exum was down he was still outplaying Mack? How you homers manage to talk yourself into a pit within 2 posts is pretty surprising.

No, Exums lows were not better than Mack normal. Just the same as Macks lows were not better than Exums normal. But if we tracked a chart (like statistics do) his overall play across the season was better.

Maybe I am crazy but I think George would have a harder time walking away from a team with Hayward & Gobert than his current Indiana team.

conclusion: Exum did not outplay Mack all season. Copy that.

Also, statistics do a lot of things. Some of them are goddamn stupid.

I think so but it depends on how well the season plays out. If Indiana was close to beating Cleveland this year in the playoffs I doubt he is trying to leave. If we get close to beating GS and are the second best team in the NBA I think it would be hard for him to leave. Especially if there is good chemistry with the players. He also might really like how our team is run. But he still might leave and go to LAL no matter what any team does. I just think we would have the best chance of keeping him.

Exactly my point.

your point was that Exum did not outplay Mack all season? AND your point was that statistics, in and of themselves, don't prove anything? Or just one of these? Cuz you ain't making any sense right now, brosephine.

I'm sure his Nike deal has built in provisions about playing in big markets vs small markets. Since he has his own signature shoe, I would bet he gets paid a significant amount of money to play in LA or Boston compared to Utah.

Article about what the Celtics would look like if they really did a R&E with PG and got Hayward and neither guy sacrificed serious dough...

Basically their team would be Gimpy IT, Hayward, George, Horford, Tatum and whatever minimum guys they could get... Really Hayward wants that.

IF they get PG it will be a one year hope he re-signs deal. Is that enough certainty for Hayward. Boston media having their cake and eating it too.

Listened to 1280 today though and it was straight depressing... not sure if those guys know anything but they are less than hopeful.

My point is that you stick to your opinion regardless.

He looked better to me when he was on the court. Stats help show he was better across the season. When he got minutes consistently in the second half of the season it was not really close. When Exum got minutes in the playoffs it was not really close.

Its okay to not like Exum and think he is a bust. It will be easy to see in a few years.

I can't remember if PG13 gives up any chance at the designated player extension by leaving indy ?? If so there's no way in hell he's going to then give a further discount ....

AND .. has nobody mentioned IT's hip issue ??? apparently it's going to be re-evaluated in August ... that sounds like a potentially bigger issue than George Hills camel toe
