What's new

Woj: Don to the Cavs for Markkanen, Agbaji, Sexton, three unprotected 1sts, two swaps, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Tony has been all over this with factual information. He’s the only one who’s been reporting what’s really going on. He was zigging when everyone else was zagging. He knew the final offer the Knicks made down to the exact detail so he obviously knows what is going on.

He was here reporting we wanted RJ when EVERY other single national media source was saying otherwise.
Being wrong but thanks. You can sit and like this was expected but he was wrong the entire time. He's the reason this forum spent months with crazy manufacturing of offers. He's the reason Cleveland was able the sneak in.

Jazz used him like a fiddle

And now Tony is saying to wait for the Lakers deal next. I'm just going to wait. @Tony Jones - keep pointing the way.

You are ruining the vibe. Go hang out on a Knicks forum. It's all dancin' in the moonlight here. You can't dance and stay uptight.

We would never know, but if that message is what makes the Lakers make a deal that they might have drove too hard a bargain then it would be worth it.
Danny Ainge needs to own the T-Wolves, Cavs and Lakers drafts for the foreseeable future. It would make the tank a lot sweeter to root against those 3 teams. Knicks would’ve been fun too, but they effed around.

I mean the two best players from both deals are coming from Donovan’s side. The 2029 1st from Cleveland is unprotected. We got an extra pick swap in 2028. I don’t really know what you’re seeing.

We don’t have to do this anyways let’s just be happy we got great hauls for both.
The Gobert trade was crazy though. Recap:
Malik beasley
patrick beverly
leandro bolmaro
walker kessler
jarred vanderbilt
2023 first round
2025 first round
2026 swap
2027 first round
2029 first round
and I believe all those picks are basically unprotected. I like what we got for rudy quite a bit more than what we got for donovan though I like both trades.

also, one other point is that getting good players could be seen as a bad part of a trade for what the jazz are trying to do (suck *** and tank hard AF)

Both trades are likely overpays, but that T-Wolves trade might cement Danny Ainge’s legacy tbh.
