World travel

Hah, I don't fish. What I was expecting was like "in the Uintas" or "Spanish Fork Canyon."
Can't do it. No clues. Someone who does fish might see.

I used to work with a bloke who'd go fishing in the bay for snapper, do you guys have snapper in the US? I'll find an image of some

There's a pair of them.

Now my mate would go fishing for the snapper and he'd generally catch some fairly decent size ones, he was so secretive about his spots that he wouldn't even tell guys which boat ramp he used. Mind you Sammy was nuts, he fought a fur seal which had jumped on his boat and tried to steal one of his precious snapper. Then after he reclaimed his fish, missing sections chewed on by the seal, he took it home to eat it, me and one of the other guys spent a night shift convincing him to throw it out due to the bacteria in the seals mouth. Sammy was like, it will be fine....

Fishermen, mental.

Back when I lived in Utah, the Grey river on the Idaho/Wyoming border was a great place for fishing.

I haven't found anywhere here in Indiana that I love. It feels like that's the kind of thing that takes a lifetime to find and pass down since nobody is passing along that type of information.

I hate when a fur seal gets in the way of me and some red snapper.

You Aussie's are wild. I lived with a dude from Australia when I was like 20 years old. I knew lots of wild ****ers. I hung out with a lot of drug addicts and hard core partiers. To this day I have never known a crazier ************* than Clint (the Australian)

I did a 5 day trip years ago where a friend and I were to fish 5 rivers in 5 days going from SLC to Jackson hole. The Grey river was to be the last one of the trip. (Portneuf river, tin cup Creek, salt river, Grey river and I'm drawing a blank on the other one)
We had planned it months in advance and got work off for it and hotels booked in lava hot springs and Jackson hole (and then we would camp the other nights)
Well that year we got tons of snow late in the year (April/May) and each and every river was high and dirty from all the runoff. My friend and I are both pretty good fisherman and we fished all 5 rivers. Caught zero fish between the 2 of us. We were pretty upset by the fishing but had a fun trip anyways. The Grey river was the one we were most excited about and it turned out to be the worst one. We didn't even attempt a cast in that one. It was chocolate milk with a ton of whitewater. Just raging. We drove up to it and took a look, shook our heads and just drove to Jackson hole to get drunk.

That's too bad. I don't remember ever having that happen, but I would usually go in the summer June/July. Of course my memory is bad because it's been so long.

We don't have any mountain runoff in Indiana, so I guess that is one good thing about living here. That, and I have 10 spots I can go fishing within 15 minutes of my house. It's not difficult to find water here.

Nonsense we're a country of level headed reasonable people. Now pass me some acid and **** off. get me a beer too

I've been watching fishing videos in Cambodia and getting excited to fish again. It's been a long time for me. A few beers and a fishing rod is a great day for me.
I wasn't ready lol. I walked about 10 hard miles and now I'm way sore.
Oh and my secret spot? I caught zero fish. Walked about 8 miles there for about 5 hours and caught nothing.
Drove to another location (where you and dalamon went hiking with me) and walked about another 2 miles and caught 5 fish.
