Worst coach in the league

And yeah, in all seriousness, if the Jazz had Eric Spoelstra, we'd be 60-6. Doesn't matter how many D-Leaguers they'd use or start.

Better yet, how many threes can one team hit before he tells players to actually defend it?

The only tihng that bothered me was Paul Milsap on Nowitzki. I would have put Hayward on Nowitzki, he's taller than Milsap.
Other than that, man what a game.

I wish Ty drew up better game winning shots.

2 awkward drives by Hayward and 1 awkward drive by milsap.

Has he heard of screens, back/screens , pick-n-roll ?

Wonder why Favors didn't get any minutes, at least some possessions like Tinsley, to guard Nowitzki. He still had one foul left.

Because they are in the NBA and they don't know how to play basketball. Better not help down, better give up wide open layups all game. Good call coach.

They were getting the open threes because we had to continually collapse on Dirk and he would kick out and then they just would swing the ball until they got the open shot, and every guy they had out there at times was a good 3-point shooter. If we had someone to stop Dirk, then the open threes would've been a lot less likely. We had AK do it in the past, at times. Favors probably is the only guy we have who could, but Dirk was creating the contact against him and the refs were continually calling it Dirk's way.

Jazz were up 9 with 5 minutes to go in regulation.

The Mavs possessions until the end of regulation from that point on looked like this.

04:49 - Nowitzki 3 made
03:41 - Terry 3 made
02:45 - Terry TO
02:28 - Carter 2 FT made
01:48 - Carter layup missed
01:08 - Terry 3 made
00:39 - Carter 3 made
00:08 - Carter 3 made

You really think it was better to give up those 5 threes than 5 layups? Remember, the Jazz were up 9.

Oh, and I thought fouling when up 3 with under 24 seconds to go was Coaching 101, but apparently, I was wrong. Better take your chances that a team that's hit 5 clutch threes in the last few minutes of regulation will miss. Cause you know, when you foul, you run the risk of the other team somehow making 3 out of 2 free throws.

Did you watch the game? If a player is driving the lane someone has to cut him off, that is going to leave someone open. We have to do a better job of not allowing players to penetrate (Terry and Dirk were getting anywhere on the floor at will). Allowing a 3 sucks, but it's better than letting a player getting a wide open layup.
