I'm a huge fan of Jay Wright and what he's been doing at Villanova for a long time now, and DiVincenzo has been one of the most entertaining college players on both ends this last season with his competitive fire and long range bombs, so I'd go with him first, but if Donte wasn't available I wouldn't mind Allen at 21. Not in the least. I've watched him dozens of times through the years and I've had some mixed love/hate feelings towards his game ever since his freshman season, and all the on court issues and bad attitude at times haven't helped (plus that seriously punchable face...), but he's grown a lot during his senior year and he's done a great job leading the team both on offense and on defense during the second half of the season, with Duke turning to a very succesful zone D where he truly was the key for it to work. He's been much more of a vocal leader on both ends and he's worked his tail off. And sure, he's taken some pretty bad shots at times, but his team also needed him to take some of those as Carter, Bagley and Gary Trent Jr. weren't able to create offense for themselves, Trevon Duval struggled most of the year, and Allen just had to play a lot of point which isn't his best spot anyway. He's got the physical tools, he's got the killer instinct, the shooting touch, he can penetrate, and he's proven this year that he can apply himself on defense and be smarter overall. With proper coaching he could still be a very good NBA player in the future and an excellent fit on this Jazz team.
