Would you be disappointed if we don't make Playoff this season?

The emotional part of me would be disappointed.

But knowing that we likely be 7th or 8th spot in the West which means getting eliminated in the first round by Warriors or Spurs, the logical part of me actually rather stays clear of those bottom seeding and get a pick.

Yep.

We should have trade G-time before the deadline tbh

This summer should be an equally good time, if not better. Teams before the deadline would have wanted Gordon for a playoff push. They're not going to give up anything of serious value. Teams that are out of the playoff hunt don't necessarily want to hurt their draft stock. This summer, any team can maneuver for Gordon and give up a young players and assets in return. There is also a huge increase in the cap so salary matching is of little concern.

But a trade isn't going to happen. Jazz were rumored to have interest in Millsap last summer. And what did they do beforehand? They signed Elijah, who was clearly not BPA in the DLeague. Hayward can opt out after next season. So what does DL do? Gets Captain Hayward his little buddy, Shelvin.

Definitely not. I think I said in one or more threads before the season started that I did NOT think the Jazz would make it to the playoffs.

Look, Hay's a nice player, but is he worth losing all this sleep over?

I agree.
I mean sure it will suck if he leaves after all the playoff wins he has carried the jazz to, but really is he worth the 25 million he is gonna get?

30 mill for Hay would be outrageous given that I think that he's pretty much reached his ceiling. Outrageous.

He may have reached his ceiling athletically and skill wise, but I think he will get better because he will become smarter. He makes a lot of dumb turnovers at crucial junctures. I think as he matures this will happen less often and will make him a more efficient and better player.

Yeah, I guess I would but I'm so apathetic about this team right now because of the recent Dubs and Clips games that I sort of don't give a ****. I'm tired of having ***** after ***** on this team and want one guy, one ****ing guy, who has some balls and will get in players' faces and hold them accountable. Quin shouldn't have to do it every night.

At this point itd be really disappointing to miss the playoffs, If they were to lose out and the Wizards, Rockets and Bulls all won out they'd only drop from the 15th pick to the 12th, which is trivial, unless you like the chances of hitting the #1 pick with the lowest odds ever...

I hope we can get some extra games, enough to see Burks get right going into next season..

No. I didn't think the Jazz would make the playoffs this year. So, they'd be in line with what I expected. The type of losses we had this year, the way we lost and the closeness of the losses is what I expect from a team as young as the Jazz.

How do you feel about potentially missing out on playoff this particular season?
I would be a little disappointed. But not greatly, This playoff chase has been good for this roster making or not does not take that away. Since I don't think they have a shot in hell of winning more than one game in the playoffs I find making it there minimally beneficial to this team.

Yes disappointed. I want to see our guys in the postseason. It's been too long.
Up until recently, I would have said I'd be disappointed. However, at this point, I won't be disappointed at all. Watching our team freeze up against GS wasn't a big deal, as they are a team that could end up with a better record than the best MJ team, and that can be intimidating to pretty much anyone. However, watching them freeze up in the same way against the Clippers' B-team, I think it's pretty clear that we aren't quite ready to battle in playoff basketball, and I'm ok with that.

This team is still in the building process, and even though our 2 best offensive players have let the pressure overwhelm them in crunch time in those two losses, I'm not the least bit concerned that they won't overcome the butterflies in the future. Best case scenario at this point is probably a single win in the playoffs, and a playoff sweep as experience is the most ****ing overrated thing in building a team there is.

I'd like to see the Jazz win their next three games, and the result would be making the POs. So yeah, I guess I want them to make the Playoffs.

I would like to make the playoffs. I will be disappointed if they don't.

I will not be disappointed if they miss the playoffs and win the lotto, then draft that future Lebaron kid or the one with the afro. That would be more awesome than losing the first round. Slim chances but hey, I can dream right?
