Would you do this trade?

Ok I have to make the assumption that the jazz draft a point guard in this draft. For arguments sake let's say the jazz draft knight although I have a gut feeling that the jazz are going to draft fredette at 12.

Ok on draft night when the jazz get their point guard they work out this trade to happen after the lock out.

Jazz trade Harris and Evans ( maybe ) to sactown for francisco Garcia, omri casspi, and Jason Thompson.

Seems like a lot to give up but casspi and Thompson have fallen out of the rotation. Garcia is a great bench player.

The jazz would be putting a lot into their draft pick and probably Watson. Although on a side note I want the jazz to make that trade bell for Flynn.

I don't think it's a bad trade. I too think Harris has more value as a trade piece than their new starting PG. But what other deals are out there they could swing for him?
I liked the idea proposed by someone on here to try and grab some of Indiana's pieces. I don't know how likely it is but I like George, Granger, and Hibbert. Don't know if they'd be willing to swap something.
Maybe Harris+Millsap for Collison+Hibbert or I dunno, these things never happen anyway.

I know they never happen but it is fun to think about. The deal I would make with Indiana is millsap and miles for granger. This is the team I would have

Watson, Flynn, fredette
Hayward, Francisco
Granger, casspi
Favors, p jones
Jefferson, Thompson, okur, tomic ( because okur will not play again, I hope )

That team is young and would fun to watch. And I think would compete if not next year thebthe next.

I would do your trade in a second. Which also means that Indiana would not. Hell I would probably trade Millsap for Hibbert and be willing to throw in other pieces if need be.

giving harris is a good idea, but getting those players in return is a waste of room in roster.
and picking fredette as a lottery pick, even first 20 , is a waste for me. He will be next reddick, but im not sure if he will be even as good as him

indiana would never give hibbert, and even if they give, they wouldnt get milssap, becuz they already have hansbrough and he shows some promise which i never expected from him

Yeah, no way they give Hibbert. They'd sooner part with Granger. I guess the least of these is George - I wonder what it'd take to get him. I don't know what they need. They have a center, they have a sf, they have a PG (unless they're disappointed in Collison this year), they have a sg in George. You mention they already have Hansbrough at PF. ...I guess they're getting their rings sized.

I don't know what they want but they obviously need something. Don't know if they think the Jazz have it.

It is interesting the trades that bring us players that have "fallen out of the rotation" on crappy teams. So they can't crack the lineup on their crappy team, but they are good enough for us?

Indy would also want Hayward in any Granger trade.
