What's new

Would you do this?

that's the spirit.

losing first 3 games awfully: we are doomed, blow it up trade everyone who is older than 25 and fire corbin!
winning some games: we are just 1 or 2 pieces away from winning it all!

Do you people just **** on your keyboard to make these trades up?

This isn't a made up trade it was presented as ainge approaching the jazz. The point is do ou give up the rebuild to take a shot at a chmpionship. Let's say Orlando approached with an offer for Howard and he would re-sign with us.

I will say that rondo is better then Harris. Pierce is one of the best sf in the game add that to the talent we already have. Improve 2 positions with out losing any of your talent on your starters is pretty impressive.

Doubt the T-Wolves would do this.
Rubio looks untouchable.
But what would Wolves want from Jazz and would you do it?

I wouldn't give them that high of a pick. Honestly how many years do you think Nash has left? Don't get me wrong Nash is an upgrade.
Didn't like the Rondo/Pierce scenario. Utah would be giving up WAY too much. But I might do the Nash deal. Nash has a few years left and there's no guarantee Utah gets the pick. In that case, KOC would need to use the Memo TPE on a wing, instead of relying on the draft. Maybe even resign Howard. It's not like we'll resign Harris, so we're essentially trading one deal for another. The upgrade at PG is worth a later lottery pick. But Nash wants to retire in Phoenix; he'd never agree to the the deal.

Hell NO!!!!!!

Pierce can barely stay healthy. Rondo is not worth giving up Favors, Burks, Harris and GS pick considering Pierce might not be able to stay healthy considering his age and number of games he has played. I like what the Jazz are doing. Be Patient. The rookies are not ready to take over but in a few years they will and we will still have Millsap who will be younger than Pierce. I think what you do is develop/play your young guys and surround them with the needed veterans when you are serious contenders. The Jazz are not serious contenders this year.

This trade would reduce our roster to 12 players leave us with 5 small forwards no back up power forward and no backup shooting guard. It unbalances the roster. And it would fall way short of guaranteeing an improvement as a team much less being a title contender. This area of the NBA is best left to the front office, the professionals. Always someone is proposing trades just because they have the hots for a certain player.

Pierce was one of the best SF's in the game, and that is giving him way too much credit IMO. I like Rondo more than Harris. Harris has a better shot, but Rondo's aggressiveness would be great for the young guys. I would rather see Garnett on the Jazz just to teach Favors/Hayward/Kanter/Burks how to intimidate and play hard defense. I still wouldn't do that though because Garnett as a $21,247,044 teacher is too much to swallow. It is expiring though.
