Would you take lillard if...

Ultimately, however, Chris Paul was unable to stop the Jazz from doing what they wanted to do. When the Jazz were stopped, it was because they missed open shots, not because of what LA was doing. Paul couldn't impose his pace and had to work harder than he was used to in order to get his stats. The best thing that could happen against the Warriors is for one of their players to get caught in the game of "getting theirs" and disrupting their offense. We have done that to Curry before, and it is the secret to our success.

i basically see it the way i phrased it earlier. We could afford for paul to go off because without griffin, no one else could burn us. If we let curry or durant or KT go off, winning becomes a lot harder because their other weapons can simply contribute at their averages and end up stomping us. we have to get them to contribute below their averages to stand a chance.

The answer was seen in game 7 of the clips series. Total team defense, from one end of the bench to the other. We had a solid effort for the full 48 on defense, that is really what took us to the win and the final score, on the Clips court no less, shows what our team clicking on D for the entire game are capable of.

Turner is, Leonard isn't.

10 million a year for the next 3 years is hardly that big of a deal. I'd rather have Leonard than Alec Burks.

The reason I don't like Leonard is he hasn't improved - at all. He looked solid his rookie year but he's regressed this year. If a trade was Leonard and Lillard for some of our underachievers then sure - but I don't consider Leonard an asset.

Though I don't see Olshey trading Lillard because: https://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2017/04/trail_blazers_neil_olshey_says_damian_lillard_cj_m.html

The Blazers are $30 million into the luxury tax next year for an 8th seed. That looks pretty screwed to me. Moreover, where does their internal growth come from? Additionally, that 8 seed is not a given next year as Denver and the T-Pups are going to pass Portland.

Paul Allen was the architect that got the previous LT higher by attempting to purchase a championship George Steinbrenner style. Dude spent over $100 million clear back in the early 2000's. I don't think he gives a damn about LT.

You do whatever it takes to get Lillard. He's a star. He can put your team on his back, drop 50 and get you a win. He'd be amazing with Gobert and Hayward.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is dumber than the people who didn't want to trade Kanter for Harden.

Do you know how much money 100 million is? On top of your day to day expenses? Operating income for Golden State was 74.2 million last year, a really, really good year for them. That is pretty top shelf for "how much money they probably make out there."

You do realize that that is after expenses? An easy way to determine how much money the average NBA team brings in is to double the salary cap(and then some). The players get half of basketball related income. In the case of the Warriors their local TV deal is certainly underpaying them considering the market they are in. Especially if they build a California Dynasty.

I can totally see lakers fans being annoying and saying lillard is coming to LA. lol

Well they think all the free agents come to LA
