Would you take lillard if...

Let's say that Gobert's impact is equivalent to CJ's.

Who is PDX's Hill? Favors? Johnson? Mason Plumlee is arguably their third best player. Harkless?
A Favor's who played 0 games this season healthy? A Hill who missed half the season? Yes maybe others were slightly stronger supporting cast but then again the Jazz were a much much better team this year and a lot of that is because of Hayward. I

don't think Lillard would have done more for this team than Hayward did if you swapped them. I think best case scenario for a Lillard team instead of Hayward is what we did this year, beating clippers and getting swept by GS.

I'm so sick and tired of seeing excuses because of our injuries. They are part of the game and unfortunately, a reality as a Jazz fan. Karma is what it is. We were blessed by Iron Men Stock and Malone so its only fitting we get Charmin Men like Booz, Okur, AK, Favors and others eventually.

Injuries cannot be our excuse anymore. Either realize Favors is going to be injury prone or trade him.

I dont think its that simple and even though injuries are used as an excuse more often it is just a fact of what happened. Injury prone might be a label we put on a player but that does not mean they cant get healthy again and not have many injury problems in the future. Injuries are always a risk with any player. With Favors it is an issue because his value is at its lowest right now. We could greatly increase his value by him being healthy and playing like he did in the 15/16 season. His contract going forward could also be a large factor.

What to do with Favors is hard question for the front office. But at this point I think if a decent offer comes in for him that he should be moved partially for the injury situation but more just for the fact we probably cant afford his next contract. The bigger struggle is if a decent offer for him does not come in, which is very likely. Then is it worth it to dump him for next to nothing? Or is letting him play the season out and hope he stay healthy a better option?

If you are the Jazz you want to move Favors. BUT, he's a very good player so you don't dump him.

Try to get a borderline all star or better now. If nothing happens now, then hold onto him until the trade deadline.

It's a contract year for him so you know he will come more ready to play next year than he ever has.

So, he will look very promising come the trade deadline.

Don't pretend that injuries = excuses. Injuries are facts, and the impact they have are mere facts also. When people point them out, they are not "making excuses".

There are zero teams in the league that can play for the championship when their key players are injured. That's not an "excuse".

The people that started conflating these two things were d!ck fathers that set up winning as the only acceptable outcome of their kids' participation in sports, because they value their own ego above all else.

Was it GS signing an "injury prone" player for cheap that turned into the building block for one of the very best teams evar! Who made that deal should be inducted into the hall of fame.
