I know I would.

Exum's biggest problem is he is soft mentally. Dude is scared to take it to the rack. He's got the mentality of a 12 year old out there.

I'm not calling him a bust. I just like Lavine a lot better.

Exum has some things going for him, like his defense, but he sure has a long ways to go. He better mature over the summer. We need a good point guard next year.

Also, some earmarks for this thread

Minnesota is a terrible organization. And the rehire of Flip Saunders just set them back many years. That dude is do far behind the times. What a terrible coach.

Anthony Bennett is being handled like garbage. That guy has some talent. He's not a complete bust. Flip is just forcing him to be one with his terrible coaching.

They both suck tbh.

I'd rather just wait and see what happens after Exum goes through puberty.

No. Lavine is not better overall player even today. He's more aggressive and more brave offensively...

Post all-star Lavine has been pretty good. %41 3pt shooting on 3 attempts and he is getting to the free throw line 3 times per game. I wouldn't make the trade because I think Exum has something special with his understanding of the game but this year and probably next year Lavine helps us win more games.

This silly Exum is "scared" and "mentally weak" thing is getting old. I assume the same people calling Exum that are the same ones who said Favors is not competitive, soft and no motor.

Exum wants to do more and will. He is very competitive by all accounts from everyone around him. He is not afraid of contact, watch him play defense. He is simply trying to win games and play within the system and do the things the coaching staff asks him to do really well.

If you think Exum is soft mentally then you think he is a bust, so just say it. Dont walk your line of not being willing to call Exum a bust because you might get proved wrong.

0 chance Exum is a bust. 0 chance he isnt an above average starter in this league assuming he has no major injuries.

Mentally weak players dont play great defense. Name one good defender in the NBA that is afraid of contact, name one good defender that is scared. Dante does what he is good at right now and plays within the system. That is a sign of a mentally strong player. A mentally weak player would skip steps in development and try to do stuff he cant. He would pick up bad habits and not take the time to learn the game right. A mentally weak player would go for stats and not do the little things right. Mentally weak players like Kanter dont play defense.

Exum>Lavine

Exum is >>>>>>>>> mentally strong than Lavine.

Lavine>jumper than Exum, thats it.

Best case scenario for Lavine is he is a more selfish, more out of control, mentally weaker version of Russell Westbrook

I would however trade Exum for Wiggins and would throw in every pick we own that we can give them.

I can't stand Lavine, so no. Also, there is lots of uncertainty with Exum. Hard to tell if the scared kid we see in front of us now will be the same as a grown man.

Yes I would. His mindset is better, he's more athletic, a better dunker, a better shooter, and he's similarly sized/young.

I'm not closing the book on Exum in anyway, I still think he'll develop to be good, but if you all remeber, I really really wanted Lavine from this draft.
